yes, library research apeared because you were reading.

it now depends on the basic values, you gave your char, if you can become good in that skill.
if you, for instance put all points in fighting abilities, and stand with intelligence at, let's say, three, you never will become a very good researcher.

the message, that says, you can't concentrate anymore, shows, that you have learned as much, as you can for the moment.
that is a kind of brake, so that nobody can rapidly build up a superman-char.
in that way, the game hinders engineplay/powergaming in the hope, that the players spend more time roleplaying/interacting with each other.

every once in awhile when i try to log on all there is, is a black screen with the first char i logged in with in the middle and nothing else. do i just wait till later to log in? Is anyone getting annoyed with my constant questions?

yes, with 15 intelligence it is no waste of time, to read.

sure, everybody is annoyed by constant questions.

(but some remember having asked questions constantly themselves)

You will have to say to a goverment offical in game, or send them a dove ((PM)). You can also leave a signed note, meaning you write your characters name at the end of it, on the towns main thread.

Yes there was, just not in this client. I think it may be good if they bring it back.

It wasn't a newbie island. It was where everyone started out to decide their profession whether they'd been playing 4 years or 4 minutes. Now that's all done on the website so there is no need for the island. Nothing was taught to you there, you didn't have to learn anything but to say "I want to be a craftsman" or "I want to be a warrior". It didn't teach #me's or not to say "i win RS i so good ther this game sux u all r so dumb how I attack you". The actual newbie island hasn't existed and is still in the process of being drawn up.

Go to the 'Guilds' board. But remember, everything in "Guilds" or "RPG" has to be in character.

it means, on those boards your character talks or writes, not you, the player.

Maybe you should try to spend some time in game and learn about somethings on your own and try. Then come back later with anything that you don't learn and ask about that. I appreciate your willingness to learn. But it doens't help if you don't try first.

Isn't it boring to ask all the 'secrets' at the board?
You're giving away all fun to be proud to find out the things by your own. Or are you simply lazy?

My suggestion:
First try to find out the solutions by your own, afterwards you can ask ingame and if that still doesn't work or noone can help if and only if ask ooc at the board.

Hold shift, click first item, click second item, release. Sometimes there'll be a different method so you'll have to foig.
