Using either 2 fists or 2 weapons causes double drops. In my tests.

I think i worked it out...

When you attack with 2 weapons, there sometimes appears 2 seperate hits (even the sound does twice really close).

When something dies, first it drops, then it disappears.

Could it be that the server detects the attack on the 'dead' creature (just before it disappears) and counts that as a kill as well?

Not sometimes, always, its just nearly undetectable.

Gort told my char that he got a gold coin from a demon skeleton. Is this right? No hard feelings if his char lied, but I recommended he report this in ooc, since this shouldn't be happening.

That's what I guessed as well. If you manage to hit with both weapons and the monster dies the kill seems to be calculated for both and you get double drop.

Indeed, demon skeletons are not supposed to drop gold coins. There is just one type of monster that drops gold coins at 1% and if you are able to kill one in your Illarion life time, you're a lucky one.

The skeletons down in cherga's temple... the ones furthur down (not so hard), drop coins.. i picked up 5 coins from one..

5 coins is not enough When some mummies drop scale armor which is worth 22...

Was würde denn besser passen?

Hm... Kerzenständer? Kann man die irgendwo verkaufen?

Gnolls drop all poor quality items, while the humans north of them drop good quality items, and coins. And the gnolls seem twice as hard. Gnoll drops should be better

The quality differs not that much. Remember that a) the quality of a dropped item is random within a given frame b) your char won't know the exact quality.

Quality of gnoll drops ranges from 2-5 while human drops range from 3-6 on scale 0-9. I have lowered the gnoll drops quality due to the fact that gnolls live in the wilderness, hunt stuff and bark instead of crafting precious amuletts, forming complex guilds and writing poems; they are too dumb to craft good items.

From a gameplay-point-of-view, I agree, stronger monsters should drop better stuff than weak monsters. However, the drop should fit the monsters. By the way, before this update, all monsters dropped stuff with quality 3, so, most gnoll stuff you find is better than the stuff that was dropped before the update.

@Adano: I will change that.

Could some one please tell me why skeletons drop silver ware? Or why mummies drop mugs with lids?

Maybe they were heavy drinkers in the past life.

The mugs are currently being replaced. I adressed that in the German posts above.

This will also be changed - anytime you encounter non fitting drops, please, name something that might fit the monsters. Like "Skeletons shouldn't drop cutlery for they usually don't eat anymore. I suggest rusted chains or bones as a replacement."

demon skellies definately need up drops. Killed about 15 of them, and alltogether i lost 2 of each piece of armor, and 2 weaps, and used a decent amount of potions. In the end all i got was 15 silver and a good cursed shield. Every demon skeleton drops silver (thats good) but thats pretty much it, the only. They tend to drop scissors (wtf?), short swords, serinjas swor,d chain helm, and a golden ring (got once) all of these being about average/high scraped, the cursed shield was quite good, used though.

I think they should drop some better weap/armors (2h sword? reg steel plate?) maybe some gems, other random valuables

Its pretty luck based Sal, I have gotton a normal, scratched ruby ring from them. I think that probobly they should drop some sort of weak armor, as the armor they wear is pretty damn good.

The amount of items dropped by monsters is equal for almost all monsters. In average, 100 monsters drop 199 items, including the so called perma drop. Concerning demon skeletons, there are 5 types of them, some of them drop artifacts, rings, wands, icebirds... the type of demonskelli you are referring to is the weakest one. Inside a group of monsters, the drops get more and more valuable the stronger the monster is. So, either compete with stronger monsters or, if you don't find any, ask for them being spawned somewhere.

Concerning the quality of demon skeleton drops, they are good enough. Just don't let the lookAt fool you, the words used are quite drastic; an item of medium quality and durability would be called scrap.

Concerning leather armor for trolls: Suggest a replacement. I think leather armor is quite fitting.
