You can PM this information to anyone in ESQS, including myself.
Thanks,
Devrah
Sure it is. And quests and events are being held. Just because you do not see them all, or fail to realize that there is someone behind the action, does not mean that it is not going on, nor does it mean that you can complain about a lack of this, that or the other the other thing. -Unless you are willing to try to attempt at *helpful* criticism.Garett Gwenour wrote:eh, it is your job to do events
It isn't about spoiling your fun. It is about you saying that there are no GMs online, therefore no one knows the plots. The ESQS *is* online, they know the plots. What Devrah said, was that if you knew of a story line you'd need help with, you could pm a member of the ESQS and they will be only too happy to help you out. Nowhere did she say "spoil your fun" by drawing up a step by step quest that you think your character cannot participate in.why do we need to spoil our fun by supplying you with an event we think up ourselves ?
I am inclined to agree with you to a degree. However I cannot agree with the idea that we must abandon the community framework already in place. Yes, it is a game that we play, but at the same time to properly communicate ideas (for quests, opinions, suggestions, glitches, problems, etc), we must have a central place that we may gather and discuss these things; both for the improvement of the quality of the game and for constructing rapport with others so that we might better enjoy our time here.Pronon Palmsuger wrote: I remember a few more and don't recognize a few but thats pretty close to accurate.
I don't recognize Any of Stephen’s other than Stephen.
Hadrian is perpetuating the elitist mindset that has always come with this game. There's always this "The Old are the Elite" with this game, I'm definitely affected. I will always consider Kamik and Deverah new (although they've been around plenty long enough and are far more recognized than I am or ever will be), and I'm always going to consider Lennier and Sirius Felfuss old. I consider myself to be a new, and therefore inferior, player.
I even consider Quinasa and Irania 'older than me' although I recall Quin's (may Irania I don't remember) first (and slightly embarrassing) post. The game has become too much about being recognized by the community, as if it were it's own entity. Its established in the very framework of the game. I recall anxiously awaiting my four month mark so I could become a citizen of Trollsbane (Quite the accomplishment in reflection seeing as I've been here for 3.5 years now)
This is all entailed in my other post when I say "We, as a community, don't take kindly to newer players." This 'we're better than you due to our status as 'old' mindset is what makes us unable to handle a "growing community" as the title states. We are afraid of being overtaken by newer players, regardless of their ability to role-play. Don't pretend it doesn't happen, this is the reason topics like "Your Illday!" come into being, it's the reason the post count is so high and we discuss how many players we have on our MSN that's the reason I comment on Quin's list.
Feel free to tell me that I am insulting you all, I'm apart of the community that I disgrace here. I'll fully concede that I am as guilty as any of you of being the elitist player of Illarion.
But if we're going to actually be ready to take on a larger community we must abandon the community framework we've established. We need to be a game not a community, the purpose of a community is that is exclusive and not open to all.
