You're not the archdevil of this game

Anyways regarding the topic:

Everyone should think for himself whether it's reasonable for his character to reply on a tread on the board or not. i.e. even if the Silberbrand tread had no disclaimer, it'd be highly unlikely that - for example - an orc would write his comments about the happenings on that tread.
Or that a craftsman or peasant would discuss politics of a foreign country or guild.
I consider it common sence that a Greenbriar halfling farmer would never openly critisize the new laws in Varshikar openly, simply because he doesn't care about it anyway and on the other hand would fear to draw too much attention on him.
Same goes to guild treads, of guilds a character doesn't get in touch with a lot.

You don't have to stick your nose into everything

Also not all the things viewable on the boards must be known to your character. For example you can't use the information you gain OOC by reading a diary on the boards, IG if the person writing the diary keeps it with him all the time, there's simply no logical explenation why you should know what's written in it. (Of course you can try to steal it but the player should agree about that first)

Diaries and other sorts of board RP are... an addition to the game in my eyes, they do add some texture to the characters mentioned and help you imagine the character and his behaviour better ((speaking about the PO's imagination now)).
Otherwise it's just a great way to kill time and some of the things are realy well written so, even if my character doesn't take any part in the things written or will never hear about them, I (the player) still enjoy reading them.

never rp something which your character can't or shouldn't be able to. magic is not available, so he can't rp that he is able to do magic.

so is my opinion.

Wait a second, wasn't Galim a priest without a priest magic system?

I am not actually going to go through and single people out.
Some roleplayers I really respect and enjoy rp still have magic ability in variouse degrees.
some wlak around and rp magic like nothing is it is wrong rp from them.
A character I play maintains some degree of magic ability and certainly all of his training. I think that statement is far to sweeping, yes we have had some "idiots" getting hold of a wand and useing it to do all manner of strange things.
Yes you cannot rp that you cast and ice flame and I turn into a cloud. How ever just because there is no attack system/graphics. I do not think that means that there is no magic.

Some really good players still maintain magic "abilitys" around there characters. It is all about how you do it and your ability to rp in a manner that flows with other people.
It is currently the same as rping I have a furcoat,a set of dice or the 100's of other things not supported by the client.

he had normal magic. and i used it as priestmagic. so i WAS able to do something. I didn't used it in the time the magic was gone. i roleplayed that the magic and priestmagic too was weak and not available.

It's not relevant, there is no priest system, that means no priest. No magic system, no magic uses, no bard system, no bards? No healers? I can list a million legitimate occupations for characters that don't have such support, but it doesn't mean they can't exsist or can't do their job.

What you are saying have to do nothing with what i said. it is not the same situation.

there is no system for priestmagic, but there are priest. they are just not able to do priestmagic. same with bards and others.

Magic is not available ingame. so it is not possible to do magic. you can play a mage, but your mage is not able to do magic. especially not such powerful magic like letting a hand regrow. that is something just a very good mage should be able to do. but without magic ingame, you ARE NOT a very good mage. you are just a mage who can't do any magic.

 Sorry to proove you wrong, but I remember priest Galim healing Faladron sending a prayer to his deity, giving me the ooc option to accept that he has been healed or not.

It's the same with other sorts of magic, if people RP it and accept that it's there, it is there.

If I get all PO's of all Illarion chars to see a pink elephant roam the streets of Trollsbane, then it's real aswell, if everyone plays along.

I gave you the choice if it worked or not. I didn't say by me "It works, you are healed". I just tried. it also could have happened nothing. So it was your choice if the priestmagic works or not. not mine.

There is a little difference ;)

Wait a minute, Galim. Breath now. You're getting too excited for a dwarf.
Now listen...

Who said the magic will make a new hand grow on his wrist?

I never did.

Cool.
Your difference works good here, because it was my choice too, that a certain magic worked. And the mage also accepted.
Are we allowed to do it now or is Klurk wanting Kamik to never wield a double axe again? Hmmmmm.

too late, Galim is already dead ;).

No, Kl'urk just want as long as possible his fun with Kamik ;)

Oh, then praise Moshran, he answered my prayers.

Klurk can find it funny as many times as he wants. He has the right to. He saved Kamik. That is why the blue haired guard doesn't pay much attention.

Priase silvia. She is the one that kicked an injured dwarf ^-^
Then Durin blamed her for murder. PAH!
I guess i should make her more active since Durin has lost much respect.
