Yeah... community cohesiveness created unreplicable depth back then.Aragon wrote:Hi Dyluck,
really nice screenshots, remembers me of the good old days.
I'm going to try and include every character and event that I remember from day 1.
Hahaha.... what did you expect from a one man project? Graphics that'll rival FFX? Hey if I could travel back in time 10 years or so with this program, I just might drive Squaresoft out of business.Nilo wrote: Not too bad..... if it were for Gameboy
But hey, its not like I could make one near that good. (right now that is )
Well... when the type of puzzle is to turn all switches from off to on, working back from solution to problem is.....umm, pretty much the exact same thing.....Moathia wrote: Wow, most people would have the solution to the puzzle and build thier puzzle around that, not the other way around.
What do you mean HOW did I put it in? I just simply did. I can just take it out if I wanted. It's not like I have to play through the game as I make it, and solve the puzzle to be able to continue making the game . But I want to leave it there. A hard puzzle is a good puzzle. I just want to have the solution when people get stuck.
To give you an idea of what I mean, it's basically the same type of puzzle I did on the RPG board before, except this time there's more switches involved, and each of them trigger even more other switches.
Dyluck wrote:In the center of the room are 9 switches on the floor, each marked with a number from 1 to 9. Each switch is also marked with two positions: Red and Blue. All of the nine swtiches are in the Red position right now.
1 more switch marked only in a Yellow position lies in the coner of the room.
The scroll on top of the table, with the box under it, reads:
To open the door to the next room, all 9 of the switches must be flipped to the Blue position. You can only flip one switch at a time. However, every time you flip any switch, it will also trigger certain other swtiches to flip into a different color position than it's current position.
If you flip swtich 1, it will also flip switches 2 and 4.
If you flip switch 2, it will also flip switches 1,3, and 5.
If you flip switch 3, it will also flip switches 2 and 6.
If you flip switch 4, it will also flip switches 1,5, and 7.
If you flip switch 5, it will also flip switches 2,4,6, and 8.
If you flip switch 6, it will also flip switches 3,5, and 9.
If you flip switch 7, it will also flip switches 4 and 8.
If you flip switch 8, it will also flip switches 5,7, and 9.
If you flip switch 9, it will also flip switches 6 and 8.
If you get stuck and want to start over, flip the yellow switch in the corner to restore all switches back to the Red position.
