The conversation fades away..

You hear a conversation between a young, dark skinned man and someone else.

"For paladins, you say? That's exactly what we need.."

Then the young one of them smiles. You walk on.

Word travels that the young girl possed by a demon is dead, accounts vary. Some say she called a skeleton army down on the town of trollsbane others claim a strange blue glow was seen in the northern sky.

One less thing to worry about....Servant of Drahken darm omen...Sweet child, the gods have no mercy...


Keep some sorrow both in heart and mind for the things that die before there time....

So word spreads....

A traveler speaks with an old maid of Varshikar upon the streets of the small town. the old woman stand in her door to avoid the rain as trvaler draws up his cloak.

You, say you saw a boat leaving from behind the castle eh?

Aye that i did. was to far away to tell if it were a man or a woman aboard though.

The woman waves her hand toward the traveler, motioning him toward the door, the man humbly nods his thanks and steps inside as the old woman draws away form the door

You hear that a man in heavy armor has been running through town in rage. He was swearing to kill someone called Joshua for earlier crimes though you didn't quite understand what exactly.

You hear a part of a conversation in Elizas shop...

a woman: He is dead...finally...
a other woman: Who slay him?
again the first woman: Adigar did.

You hear nothing more...

You hear rodents in the trees chipping away, happily. They seem more active now that the rumors of a death has started.

A miner speak sadly to a woman about how a little girl had a sword to her throat, but before anything could be done another little girl pushed her and she fell onto the sword, dead. And that the body of the little girl lays by an apple tree just outside the east wall.

Rumors come to town from different people who have talked to monk-like persons that have a camp in the woods, where they talk about things and invite everyone to sit and eat with them. You can hear two elven people talk about it in the streets of Troll's Bane.

"They said, they are going to found an holy order?"

"Yes, I think so... They said, it will come from this old monastery."

"Do you think Falk has something do with it?"

Then one of them shrugs and they both leave.

You pass by a couple of halflings and hear one of them complaining: "Look at all this rain! It's ruining my crops! Not only that, but all these damn mushrooms keep appearing, and they're not even edible!" The other nods sympathetically, and you walk on.

You see a small halfling farmer running down the cobbled paths of troll's bane, he has a small peice of ripped, bloodstained parchment in his hands, if you asked him to show it to you it would read...

Some of the letters are covered with blood, once you finish reading, the halfing snatches it back and runs to the grey haven, looking for a guard or knight

A person asks what the guard are going to do about the building to the west of trollsbane

"They built a ladder?"

"Yes, two carpenters; while the others collected wood or guarded them"

"Who's idea was it...?"

A rumour was spread saying that Stephen Rothman was seen in Varshikari territory.

"Did you hear?", a farmer of the North asks a merchant, "Trespassing! Stephen Rothman! And he calls himself the leader of that knight-thing. To think he even accused Lord Aristeaus to be protecting that kidnapper... what was his name?"
"I heard it when I went to trade in Troll's Bane", answers the merchant. "It's Thalgul".

While in Troll's Bane, the citizens are speaking of the recent disappearance of several documents, letters and parchments that were pinned to the walls.

"Why would anyone do thisss?", Eliza asks to Mugush.
"Mm, maybe someone was just cleaning the boards, Eliza...", he answers, trying to look confident of his own words.

You hear two women talking at the marketplace of Trolls Bane. You think you hear them talking about the head of the Druids which hasn't been seen since days.

"Did you already hear that she is pregnant?"

"Yes, yes. I did. And she still isn't married! It's a shame!"

"I wonder where she is now."

"I've heard that she is ill. Something with the baby. No wonder, have you seen how pale she always is and how scrawny? Maybe the gods just punish her for her witcheries... "

Your hear random gossips between the citizens of the most urbanized area of Troll's Bane, near the shop. The gossips and whispers are about the Town Guard.


"...........he had to. And I would do the same as the captain."
" Surely. There is no way we can have a murderer as a guard... No way."
"I always disliked him... That blue hair."
"I heard he is a half elf... And that he was cursed once..."
"Really...? Tell me more about this............."

Two farmers' wives commiserate in the Trollsbane square:

"I've had just an awful time with the sheep lately--their milk's no good and they're antsy all the time."
"I've had the same trouble--it seems they've been eating bad 'shrooms. Don't know what happened to all the redheads. Their milk was so sweet then."

They cluck their tongues and move on to other subjects:

"How's your John doing? Recovering from those fly bites?"
"Oh yes, the swelling's almost down. Those flies are nasty buggers."
"Good to hear. He'll be able to help you soon, then."
"Are you going to watch them try to scale Drahken's wall? I hear it took 500 trees and 100 men all night just to make a big enough ladder!"
"I wouldn't miss it for the world--from a safe distance, of course!"

You hear two townfolk talking

Woman: Its true!! I saw him kill Drahkens knight!
Man: Never, i heard that drahken gave him unlimited power, how else could he have killed the First Knight of Kallahorn!
Woman: Well this one had even more power...
Man: Even so, Moshran will bring his body back
Woman: I dont know... many people gathered his decayed body so he couldnt be ressurected

And you hear no more

You hear a smith and his apprentice discussing something.

Smith: Did you see the new resisdent in town?
Apprentice: I heard a little of him, is he really as bad as they say?
Smith: Ugh, worse, it was horrible, he stinks of rotting flesh and his face is scarred and malformed.
Apprentice: I heard a mage saying he was a forsaken...
Smith: Ha, nothing that looks like that is natural, he must have brought the wrath of the gods somehow.
Apprentice: The mage said something about necromancy...
Smith: Guh, I dont know anything about that, and I dont want to!

You hear two townfolk talking in front of the shop in passing:

The conversation fades as you proceed to walk on...

If you were to walk past the workshop you may have overheard a smith and a gemcutter in coversation.

I hear that Thalodos Fellow was found dead..

Aye, collapsed in the street i heard, a stab wound to his heart

Nah, no scars, anyway i heard the guard already know the next victim.

Aye some Halfling showed em' a list.

A halfling? Very peculiar that..

A crowd is gathering amoungst this person

"I tell you,. i saw it with me own eyes, a skeleton came to trollsbane..."
"Some foolish lizard tried to stop him, held him off for a few minutes... but i tell you the skeleton was powerful, stronger than you could immagine; it then dissappeared, vanished.. went up North... no-one saw it again, not even me"

You hear that a short wierd elf is seen having a fit in the middle of troll's Bane screaming, kicking and even attacking a town guard during it. You hear he was kicked out of town afterwards for being a ''wierdo''.

You hear a massive dragon attacked Trollsbane.

Rumors spread of attack plans from Marie, Lennier, Jeremy, and an unkown lizard.
