Something I just reminded and even may be something new, if you think its allready crap that people don't fear death, than you shuld see the reaction of people on mages, nearly noone fears mages, because many people know "Ahh he is not powergamed, he can't hurt me" I don't know, but if someone summons a freaking wall just before my eyes, I won't run around and keep my "bitching around", but well as long as the dev keeps us nerfing down, that will always be the result.

I don't think mages should be any more feared than warriors, but rather this should be related to the character. Silas should be feared, Duchan not so much. Dominic should be feared, Dantagon not so much.

It doesn't mean you have to ignore Duchan, but simply because you are a mage, doesn't mean you should automatically deserve to be feared either.
Big deal you made a wall raise from the ground. You see that all the time in illarion, so when it comes to the characters, it definately lacks the same kind of effect as it would have in real life.

Dude, seriously.

Seriously.

If anything happened in real life that happens ig, we'd all not keep our "bitching around". Simple as that.

I agree with Cromwell here (OMG!). A mage is not so common in the world of Illarion, but I guess in general magic is not seen as always uber-mighty, dangerous power. Be careful, sure, but don't shake in fear when meet a mage. It is again about respect, IC/IG this time.

To your answer to my OOC posting:
I don't know if I really understand you (BTW: my comment on death was not related to the OOC part of my posting).
I wanted to state that if you want to exclude any OOC influence, you have to not read the forums and block any IG OOC communication. On the other hand, I strongly think in favour of a good IG atmosphere it is important to think/reflect OOC about IG actions before. Otherwise we get in IG situations like the current one...

To death: I am still for official guidelines. Sure it is a bit strange if the gods do quite nothing except reviving clouded chars, but this is the current reality direct from the game software. If it would be WoW, there would be no problem (well, there are corpsed, IMO), but because Illa is supposed to be more/real RP, it matters how do play clouding correctly (perma-death is not really part of the discussion). So, as long as there are no changes in the death system and no official guidelines, death has to handled like it appears IG (= Illapedia), IMO.

What I am wondering about is, if there is any benefit of these long thread? The "good guy" players including me have their (better :P) arguments which the "baddies" do not accept (and vice versa), so I sadly don't expect that "evil" stories will be more reflected/logical in the future (or some "good" stories).

The death system will not become a K.O. system in years according to nitram (well, this info could be given weeks ago in other death-discussions...).

So what? Illa is teh d00med...?
