Yeah but I dont stop hearing that magic skill is uber long to learn, and takes a mighty patience. Well it dosent seem to be that hard to learn, most mages got their magic powerful in week times.

To me its still one of the easiest skill, I already see some peoples posting "no its mega hard to learn skill colour is hardest to change I asked GMs" or whatever, yeah the skill itself it long to learn. But as opposite to others, you can use it freackign everywhere, anytime. You can have fun closing and opening doors, making food which you can even make money with, at 0 cost.

Warriors have to get their ass at the bandit camp, boring minutes of walking, to get skill a tin faster than magic, while losing their equipment they paid while doing something shitty like killing pigs. Smiths needs to go mine their ass into mines, (which gets awfully boring after the 10 000 coal), and smelt the sheets, and make crap 80% of the time. Needing something like 40000 sheets to get any good, just try mining 1% of that.
Cooks and farmers work their ass off for ridiculously low profits, and a not so easy speed of skill gain.

I could tell tons like that, to me most of the magic is kept by peoples wanting it all for themselves, happy in their runes and and stuff, gicing crappy reasons not to teach students or inventing some. To me magic is too hard to get a start to learn it and it holds too many advantages, they have advantages over any professions, which I would name if I didnt want my post to be read cause of overtext.

Thanks for listening

But magic still rocks... Arameh is just angry because sword fighting is a much harder thing to do... it was his choice.. if he wanted he coulda beena mage with the right stats...

Although swords have there benefits.

Correction, because there are not many mages who want to teach anyone but chars that the PO's are friends with. Arameh could not have learned magic.

You would dislike magic too if you were a completely skill based player, who powergamed a warrior to shit, to get pushed aside by mages. I mean, God forbid magic be stronger, considering it is one of the most important things in medieval fantasy, it's what flows through the world, and has been passed down for thousands of years.

Magic should be better. But yeah, you can argue how much or how little it should be. Right now I don't see how it is too overpowered. There are some really obnoxious spells like the moving ones and I don't know why they even put them in, but oh well.

Reasons that are not true, since you have not the slightest clue about what you wrote. you have just your own wrong ideas based on frustration and enviousness. it is useless to discuss that further with you.

On one hand you wand learn magic, on the outher you complain that the mages learn to fast magic, what they need to teach it... Can you please choose what you wand? Learn magic or have weak mages?
Arameh_ wrote: You can have fun closing and opening doors, making food which you can even make money with, at 0 cost.
Play with doors or summond food bring you nearly no skill, beside of that i have never see a mage which sell food - at least i have never done

a mage cant go into bandit camp, he would die there

You have absolut no idea how much time it need to become your magic skill up, you forget one importent fact, casting cost mana and mana rise very, very low....

Arameh_ wrote: I could tell tons like that,
i too, we can do it the whole night if you wand.

Hmm. That sounds like a mage training his orl kah and ignoring rp. To ignore someone other and do that in middle of town IS wrong.
