				---edited cause of GM Tyranny---
This wasa one of the worst i ever saw ingame in the last time. and i really hope that was not the gm supporting the event, or it would be really a shame for him
a player plays his damn role. he plays the character fair, and true. a character who is a salkamaerian noble, disliking slavery. a character who is the magistrate of trollsbane. and the player yells at me because this character won't accept slavery. because this character won't treat slavetraders nice. because this character tries to stop the slavetraders selling on her land innocent peoples. because she tries to jail them
that was simply shit.
if you can't accept that players will play their roles and DO something against slavery, something more then giving them money to have the slaves free, then you shouldn't do such quests.
that destroyed for me again the whole fun at the game

The RP at the auction was pretty good. Too bad that all the slaves were released. I'd be curious to know how it was going to be with someone who kept his slave ^^

I'm not going to even try to discuss with you, PO Samantha. If you already know your char just shows up to ruin the whole thing, then why don't just stay out of the event? For the game play. My problem with you is, that you show up and threat everyone there. There were other players who tried to rescue the slaves in another way. And not by killing just everyone, which I'm glad you changed your mind in the end.

The Char of Patric has Salkamaerian Background.
It is likely for a char with that background culture to stop such an event at all means, and in Samanthas position, the use of threats and force is likely as well, because she had the power to do so.
Anyhow, going into OOC because of an ingame event or even because of a fight that happens between the CHARACTERS, is no reason to scold each other on the boards.
1. it is an ingame situation.
2. it has to be solved IC, not OOC. And in the game, without OOC.
3. It's a conflict INGAME, and even a fight INGAME. So don't turn it into OOC.

Its not the problem with the character, is the problem with the player knowwing it would ruin the event. When I know I could ruin something for alot of other people, I don't do it, its very simple not to do.

I was 100 % ic until the GM meant to yell ooc at me for my completly fitting and legal character roleplay, just because the gm didn't like the outcome. That reminds me of a situation with Hagen von Rabenfelds and Darlok in the past. At the end it costs us one of our best roleplayers. it is sad that one of those whoc ried the most about that is doing now such stuff aswell.
maybe next time you don't do such an event infront of samanthas housedoor. that would most likely avoid having her appearing

If someone starts a slave market in YOUR town, and you are one of its most powerful inhabitants, then you would go there and stop it.
There is nothing wrong if Samantha appears there and stops it.
There IS something wrong, though, if Patric complained about it OOC, or if others complained about Samantha stopping it INGAME with force.
But if force is used, it must be used fair.

I should make an uber powerfull character then, with a backround the opposite of something happening in your quests, and then show up and make it so nobody has a fun time? We can try this.
Its good that the magiswench didn't slaughter all of our characters, what would happen then Damien?
"Oh well, too bad" Yeah.

The problem I see here isn't because of a background of a character, but that said character "suddenly" repears from a break just to wrack an ingame event.
Hagen left because he was found cheating.

Yeah, thats right too. Patric just brings a character out while hes supposed to be crying about not playing the game and hating us all, whats the deal?

Keikan, Hagen left because you cheated and some staff members played a wrong game with him. Sorry to become so direct and off topic, but I hate lies. If you have forgotten what really happened, send me a PM and I will reensure your memories.

Since I am directly involved into this, I can clearly tell you that my memories are correct in this matter.
However I will not go deeper into this topic, I just stated this since there was an uncalled assault from Patric.

Keikan, samantha is back from her journey since nearly 3 ingame weaks. she was in trollsbane monday, thuesday and wednesday. i wasnt at home at the other days since of rl issues and work i had to do. i worked nearly 11-12 hours a day. i returned back home today 1 hour before the event started. so please don't start saying such stuff, yes? she hasn't came back just today. that happened already a few days ago after she was away for 3 RL weeks, like i said before.

Thank you Tinu, you are the only voice of reason here.
Samantha, I will write you a PM. And people, calm down again. It was just a chaotic (though still funny in the end) event.

I have to agree with patric on this one. When slavers come to a land where they know that slavery is forbitten, they can't just expect to be greeted with flowers, especialy when they choose to do this event near a town where these rules are enforced (or at least try to be) by one of the most powerful chars IG, who happens to belong of a faction opposed to them.
You can't just exclude someone from the game like this in my opinion and rant at them for playing their role. If you choose to play a villain and do a somewhat "evil" event, you have to consider the attempt of being stopped even by force.
Just my two cents, no disrespect to anyone.
Marius
P.s: the event was very cool, well structured and the chars well played

I'm terribly sorry, but I think you did perfect. You played your role as a Salkamaerian. I wasn't involved with any of the things that happened afterwards, or what happened between you and said GM.
