wrong, but only 100 of 1000 wand to be a mage, 10 of these 100 have enough time to play a mage, and 1 of these 10 had good enough rp to play a mage ^,^

I must agree with Samantha on this point, admittedly playing a mage character is subject to a certain amount of elitism, but rightfully so. It is clear to any good mage character who is suitable for learning runes and who isn't.

Mage characters need a lot of time and dedication, infact I don't think I would be wrong in saying all those who attribute possibility to be taught are players who have their mage as their main character.

These are the people that regularly turned up to the magic academy lessons, the people that forged their connections and stood out as mages then, and the people that have shown through intensive hard work and effort, even BEFORE they get the runes that they have the dedication, mentality and skill to effectively play a mage character.

I did see many scenarios when teachers rejects students before even seeing their RP, and tested it as well. You should know since you coulnt find a teacher yourself, Nalzaxx? Anyways, which mage characters have been teached by players and are full mages now? I see none personally, maybe mage teachers are scared of the loss of skill by teaching? I see many mages that were meant to teach and either take 2 students that supposely no one knows of or say stuff like "I already have enought students"while they are rubbing their ass on a chair ig. That aint really touching me, but its a fact.

None of the playerchar mage teachers are ABLE to teach yet.

And I am sure many of them would agree, if it wern't for certain political and personal differences of the character they would teach Nalzaxx.

Nalzaxx wasnt always a skeleton, and player of mage characters can teach mage skills yes. Why do you think GMs gave every runes to Samantha, Athian, Jeremy I think and some others? It was for teaching players, up to now ive seen nothing of that.

Should up if you doesnt know about what you speak. The GMs only give runes, but absolut no skil, and to teach magic you need a very high skill, thats the point.

You need atleast 80% in a magic skill to teach runes from that group. None of the mage characters are ABLE to teach yet, because they are not high enough in skill.

Hmm? Why are mages taking "students" then? I have heard many times that they were losing skill from teaching and stuff like that. I know they cant give skill as well , but runes. But seriously, thanks for the "should up", but I dosent resolve that most of thoses that wanna be mages, if not all, cant get to learn magic, the only full mages I know of werent teached by players, only characters that got the runes at first, for im not so sure which as you guys say "cant teach", all of this seems crap.

Wrong. Samantha is good enough to teach three runes. 3 runes out of 28. And this weekend she will also teach them to one of her older and more dedicated students. she than will lose that 3 % and it will take me another month to get them back to be able to teach again.

and sorry, but every magechar who comes ig and writes "Are you samantha? Can you teach me magic?" failed already in roleplay. That is NOT how you should ask another mage to teach you! They don't even greet, or anything else. They just come to you and write that. often even with "Hi, can u teach me magic?"

I know that, but not only noobs are asking, and if you never talked to Samantha and you wanna learn magic you cant just ask "Youre Samantha? Greetings, well thats all bye". I also find it strange that we never get names about any students.

Exactly, hence the spamming of ancient in-game

I must apologise, my comment does come across a little harsher than expected.

Basically, there are 12 playerchars that were given the runes at the end of the academy. None of these have the skill to physically teach the runes yet, however that doesn't mean they can't take RP students. Afterall a lot of magical education comes before any practical work. (Academy anyone?)

There are also 2 questchars that teach characters, they so far have produced around 3-5 students with some small runes and abilities. Silas being an example of this.

I hope this clears it up. If you want to get a mage taught, get him into the scene, get him noticed, and be patient.

The right and correct way to search a tutor, meet him and ask him to teach you is the first test for a magechar. if he cant even do that simple roleplay, i wont use my time to teach him something like magic. he first should learn than to roleplay better, and how to roleplay a mage, before he tries again.

i also wont teach someone who is ingame since 3 days and has not much clue about roleplay. my magic teaching is NOT a roleplay school. that they can learn in normal rp with others

Yeah names concerns cause it seems to peoples now, at least me, that the students are in your head, seriously. How come no one seems to know anything about any students? I mean unless its necromancy teaching I doubt you need to keep it secret. As well, there seem to be no regular mages, with average skill. Its either a mage that can barely make carrots, or uber mega super mighty beings mage, where the middle?

The reason there is no middle is because of the skill needed to teach!!

So basically, the first generation has to be uber mages, before the second generation exists, the second generation uber mages before the third, and etc etc.
