The mere fact that the account system is just an approach, I have an Idea for a better Approach at the situation if anyone is interested.

@mannelig, i dont think they are the MAIN reasons illarion is Dying out (is it?) its because a lot of the old characters dont have respect for the new ones.. when i made my first character i remmember one person, grennard, he was real kind and told me a lot of stuff you can do in illarion and helped me out with money by giving me simple jobs to do and payed me well, but now the older characters are fading away, there are a lot of people who think they own the place and instead of giving them a friendly introduction to the game they just wait for them to slip up somwhere, ie taking somones shovel or casting in town and then they kill them and tell them the rule AFTER they have done it. If more people would help the new ones get into the game and tell them what its all about it would be a much better place.
by the way, that wasent supposed to insult anyone, its just my thoughts

ah, the killing for stealing part. I several times overheard converstations from minners... more elder, but not extremely..... that they would lay a shovel on the ground, about 2 blocks away, so it would look like its theirs, and if someone, even if they screamed "whos are these!?" and then no answer, picks it up, the would kill them claiming its theirs... ect.
a little trick they do to keep themselves busy i suppose..... but we are catching on, the good thing.
"~they just wait for them to slip up somwhere, ie taking somones shovel or casting in town and then they kill them and tell them the rule AFTER they have done it."
1. sounds like what lloyd did do several times.
2. sounds like what message i was telling lloyd several times on the board as well.

Hello to all,
@ Vindigan: I completely agree with you. Grennard…no…the man behind Grennard also was the first to show me the ways of playing Illarion. I thank him greatly for…“showing me the ropes,” if you will. Grennard and Inioch Hope were the two most influential people during my first times in Illarion (Though I didn’t really know Inioch until a later time).
@ Everyone: I cannot believe some of you people and how hostile towards one another you’ve become. I usually sit back and read, but this is too much. Anyways, it seems that some of the elders of Illarion are leaving or have left. I can only assume that they left for various reasons, though I would hope not for the worst of them. Nowadays the elders of Illarion are closer to 16,000 though there are still some of the originals from when I played. Some of these “elders” have done exactly what was said…explaining the rules AFTER they punished the unknowing new people. Illarion has come quite a ways, but I fear the worst is yet to come.
As of recently I have been doing a lot of thinking about Illarion. I have thought about many things… such as whether or not to leave Illarion, what should I do next, etc. For a long time, I was actually forced to cease playing Illarion. I began packing so that I could move. Due to my long and excruciating absence I do not think that I am any longer a member of The Rangers. Recently I have been chatting ooc (shame on me). Regardless of this, however, I am going to keep Illarion the way it was when I remember it the best.
Since this post is getting lengthy, I am going to come to a closing. It is in my opinion that we can change Illarion for the better. And we can certainly prevent it from “dying out” (I personally don’t think it is). I am not asking for everyone to change around me, but I wish that any number of you would join me in bettering Illarion. With that said I wish to leave you with my final words for now (considering I don’t post much). Since I am not avid in responding to messages, I don’t really expect much gusto from you people.
My final words,
“I, Cain Freemont, will strive to be like Inioch Hope and Grennard.
In doing so I WILL make a difference, no matter how small it may be.”
My best of regards to all,
The man behind Cain Freemont, Eric Love<--go figure..
P.S. I had an original message that sounded better but my computer crashed… it never does sound as good when you have to think it up again.
