you do realise the werewolf informed you of this himself out of the hopes that we would help him, not in the hopes that we all start a mob to kill him! i tell you it is obvious that he is thinking of the saftey of everyone else. if he was concerned for his own saftey, he could have just kept it quiet, (killing people randomly in the dark and no one knowing who was behind it) then your women and children really would be in trouble! I say we should just have him near friends at all times, who at any sign of him loosing himself, would rush him to a remote place(one of the forrests, a cave, the desert, the castle). also i think it may be that you only want to see blood because you have become bored from the lack of monsters around the world. and THAT is most unjust! ALSO
this is how i shall disagree quietly(though not shortly lol)

Can his friends stop a bloodthirsty werewolf? I would think not, they have unnatural strength and to say the least his friends are not great warriors.
We have but 1 choice to kill him off. He is a monster, you are all blind to the fact that he is a monster and must die!
He will kill all our peasants that do not have knights protecting them, he will eat the halflings picking herbs in the forests. He cannot control himself and just because he can't doesn't mean we should let him. His life is insignificant to the number of people who will die if we do not stop him.
Mandil, he made this so people would feel sorry for him. He was extremely stupid for doing this, he told us of the monster he is.
If anyone sees him in town I would suggest you chase him from town with all force that is neccessary.

Mandil,
I fully agree with Andriel and Grant in this matter. You do not want to tell me that you can handle a werewolf like a dog...
Or do you simply want to let me believe that you can handle Rynt, when he is a werewolf, and take him on a walk out into the forest so he can take a piss? Don't make me LAUGH!
I have seen many fools in my life, but you are almost toping anything I have seen or heard before!
Rynt has to be removed, dispatched, silenced,... take any term you like - I prefer BURNED!
Deats,
there is not much brain in your little nutshell - and I do not have to be a genius to figure that out.
I doubt that you even make a descent mage (or priest or whatever you think you are) and I also doubt that this little nutshell of yours is able to find a cure for such an "illness".
If you had but only little knowledge of this sort of "demonic possession" you would know that Rynt's blood is not pure anymore. How do you want to clean his blood, flesh and veins?
Besides Rynt is a darthiir - he will live long - the not so long living races would very much call him and his race immortal.
Now do you want to have an immortal werewolf running around?
Or do you want to risk that Rynt will bite another person?
Do you want to risk that werewolves spread on this island?
Zerbus
Zerbus scratches his head and says to himself "Which brings us to the question... how did that Rynt actually become a werewolf?" He turns and leaves the shop thinking to himself "Well, I will not mention that - if there are clever enough people they will ask that question, too."

ahh yes, but there is a time before the transformation is complete, a time were the werewolf can feel his body begining to change, a time were he can still control hisself. but if you all feel that the best course of action is death, you should have a FAIR trial first. if you find him guilty of anything wrong, then, i say give him the appropriate punnishment. Also! a werewolf only transforms on a full moon so, if there is some way to calculate when a full moon is, have him bound, tied, and watched. but if you still think that i am a fool and the man should be burned, fine, i only protested so that the gods and godesses would not frown upon me for allowing an innocent man to die. Kill him if you must.
The fools are those who feel they must resort to quick words and childish name-calling to make a point.
Mandil stands back and waits for somone to reply to his message. He waits to see if his speach has stirred somthing inside the stone hearts of the inhabitants of Illarion...

Hi
You are the fool with a nutshell sized brain. Killing is not the proper way to rid this town of this werewolf!! We will need a way to turn him back to normal!! Killing will only split this town further!!

Would I tolerate a WereWolf on this island? Yes I would. As long as I didn't see it kill a large amount of people everyday. grins.

In truth, a werewolf is weak. All it takes to kill me is a little bit of silver.Be aware that even though I have transformed, I have not attacked anybody. You who brand me a monster, and want to kill me are the true monsters.Do any of you think I want to be like this?If you were a Werewolf, would you want to be Burned?

...would you want to be Burned?
Yes, mes would! The honour of mes heart would clear mes view!
Know that mes a problem or hazard for citizens even if
only probably a hazard, knowing mes could get uncontrolled by mes self,
would touch mes honour to draw mes life for all the others!
Mes the famous Hilldwarvenhero Borak from Lands of Golvan, but mes still is an honourous man!
Rynt, appell to yours honour ask your heart, and if then you see what i would see,
give your life as long as you are human and are able to think, NOW, you could die as honourous man,
a man of pride, a Martyr for yours own life! If your life is yous too imprtant, then later you will die as a Monster, a creature of night!
Think about it!
Mes already honoured of you, by telling all of us your "problem". Now it is on you to decide as what to do!
I will accept the decision you have to make all alone in your Heart!

If you want to live, take my advise.
Go out and find a priest, as soon as possible. And that means not next week, or tomorrow, but today. Then leave Troll's Bane and move to a place as far away as possible from the innocent citicens of our town. Do not return unless the priest is with you and can confirm that you are healed or the guards at the gates will not let you in.
If you do this I might be willing to help protecting you against the dangers of the wilderness and the mobs who might be after your life. As a student of the Great Temple I know how to keep the evil away from my body, mind and soul, so the werewolf would not hurt me as easy as it would others.
If you refuse to follow these advices then I must assume that your soul is already lost to the creature inside you and I will have to remove this creature from this island, and realm.

It is clear that changing the minds of the people is almost impossible at this point. Therefore, if most ARE willing to put Rynt to death, a just way to do it, according to the western codes, would be this:
Let the man turn into the beast, and gather those who are willing to put creature to death. Line them up, and let the most eager ones go first. Fight the creature one on one only - in a fair combat. The one to slaughter him would end the execution.
It is true, that werewolf will get tired of this fight eventually, and has no chance of defeating all the volunteers, but at least this will be a noble end to his life, a good way to put his career to an end. He will get his last chance for a fight, and will not be forced to rot in some trap or to burn in fire.
Also, forgive my rudeness, that would prove that people talking here about Rynt's death are ready and willing to support their words with real courage. It is easy to speak of killing the beast from the high chair of a cleric, but would every single person here feel comfortable with encountering the werewolf in combat themselves?
As for Rynt, I think you should listen to the advisor, but prepare for the worst, because most likely these people are willing to put you to sleep. If they give you a choice of execution, choose the one on one battle.

Considering there is no silver on this island we cannot fight the creature in fair combat. ((roleplay that everyone please))
If I was a werewolf, I would hope I was smart enough to just leave this town and go to the wild and never return until I could fix a potion that would help me.
And as for you unknown writer you do not even live here and yet you tell us what to do. We don't know you, you don't live here so do not tell us how to deal with a monster.

No Silver in Trolls Bane or this Island? I wonder what kind of material my Silver Ingots than are made of.
And of course, my Silverdagger seems to be made of the same Metal.
And why do we need to fight him in a fair battle? Line up, take up arms, slaughter the poor ill creature. No need to waste other Lives in a One on One Fight.

Very well. I will leave. But I have one request. Search for a cure. Then I may be able to return.

I'm very glad to hear this Rynt. I hope you'll be succesful in finding cure.
As Adano said, look for a priest, I'm sure there will be anyone who can help you. Good luck!
PS: Some of you accused us to be sth. like a mob who only knows a kind of lynch law but that's not true. There were always two alternatives to solve the problem: Healing or killing. And in my opinion there's no doubt which one the better one is and so I really appreciate Rynt's decision. Killing of this monster is the last possibility and it has to be used if the other way fails.
Andriel signs the paper and pins it on the wall

Citizens,
can we allow it that a monster lives with us? As the healers can attest, lycantrophy is a contagious disease and besides that very difficult to cure!
Are you willing to take the risk that the illnes will pullulate like fire and that the citizens will be lacerated in the streets?
A pyre is the only place in Troll's Bane where I'd like to meet him!
I'll attack this creature without warning if it will pass the gates of Silverbrand.

Rynt, I'm going out in to the forest for my own reason for a while. if you want to join me send me a dove. As for everyone else think of what you would do if you had to deal with this curse, and be happy that Rynt told you instead of just keeping it to himself.

Rynt,
out of curiosity I want to know how you "became" a lycanthrope.
It seems that noone else is interested enough to ask for the root of this evilness - I am.

Rynt,
how am I supposed to understand this? how are all the people supposed to understand such an answer?
What reason keeps you from telling us about it? There is a source for your state of being and as long as you are not willing to answer questions openly about your lyconthropy - how you got it namely - I consider that you are protecting the source.

Ok...
Many people believe that Lycanthropes are extinct...But they hide well. There was one near the village where I lived. I was... stupid back then. Reckless. I went into the forest alone, at night. That was when I got bitten.
After that, I was helped by the people of my village. They would bind me with magic every full moon, and kept me locked up. But...A werewolf hunter came. He burned down the entire village just to get me. They all died...I searched for him for many years seeking revenge. I moved from town to town, searching for him. Then I found him in the forest, when I went to change on a full moon. He was fighting another WereWolf. I snuck up behind him and bit him, killing him instantly. The other Werewolf recognized me as a Werewolf of course...It left me alone.I've just been wandering from place to place ever since. Hoping to find a cure I guess.
