or howabout you dont accually create characters, you have to send the answered questions to the gm, they accept it or not, and give you a sort of password and account name, and you can delete and create characters on your own. and with the extra time it takes to put in the characters they could just go through and delete all the ones that arent accepted as specified in the name rules. just an idea.

You dont have even an idea what a huge load of work that will be.
And i dont want to see any "KewlDude" again in this game, that realy kills all the roleplaying enviorment/mood.

loki.....its just an idea. or.....for the name rules section.....they could always delete your chars but!, if they have to delete say more than two chars that are like "k0olDoodE" you simply get banned.....like if you create a character like "Horse zerbakstin" you cant use horse cause its a word they could like just give you a warning. but for characters they could limit you to like five characters and just make an account log in then the regular login. it might be more work for bror and the client but in the long run it would save them LOADS of time with the entering, deleting, checking, editing of chars. Also they need an EDIT part so you can enter your charname, pass and edit certain things like TITLE and such now that you can see it. these are big proposals that probobly shouldnt be in this topic but it seemed relevent. I think this would make illarion gameplay alot smoother while retaining the anti-non-rp'er thing.

P.S. IM sure cosma would love this hehe

Geeez... anyone of you ever tried answering 500 emails a day ? And tried to filter out all the nonsense emails, double sent ones, and those where players mistyped their characters and passwords ?

The application system will be changed to something else after a while - but that must still be developed. So, please stay patient.

No one is angry at Cosmo or any of the GMs. We are just putting our heads together trying to figure out another way.

This is this first time I've heard that said. Where did you see it?[/quote]

Well, I was patient and I recieved the email yesturday after 5 weeks of waiting. I am waiting for the reply to my reply now. :D

@ someone further up: Cosme doesn't answer all e-mails that are deleted. If you aren't accepted because of your story, then you'll get a reply. But if you have a name that is against the rules, the mail will just be deleted without being answerd...

I am also waiting for my Account to be validated for over 5 weeks. I have an acceptable name: Dendthor. And the password was in the mail and so on. I also answered already the questionairt. So I just have to wait until I get a reply. Cosma even said in my topic "Account freischalten??" that such a name would be deleted.

Does it realy take soooo long at the time? I mean, it nearly takes 6 weeks until I get a reply?????

I hope, that I will be accepted soon (who wouldn't? ;))

It takes as long as it takes. The equation is simple:

time for approval ~ number of mails to look through / spare time to look through them

what are those odds adano 500/1? :D

@John Laffing: Now I feel better, if I am not the only one who waits such a long time ;)

The new systems seems to be good. But I have already written the answer to the 2 questions. Do I have to wait now, or do I have to use this formular and I have to wait again? I just don't want that afterwards they have one mail AND the formular and so they would have the double work because of me...

I suppose the formular is only to send the initial mail with password and name. The mail with the story will be send normaly with your email client anyway.

Well, I did get the questions about 4 days later. And well, I have waited for 4 days till the last response. I hoped I could get in the begginning of this week cos I have holiday at the moment (1 week). So now you guys really scared me off with your 2-6 weeks waiting things. I mean really, get some guys to help you. Offer life time account after the beta or anything :D

Anyway, is Tibia free? I think I need something to spend time with also :D

One Thing: This game (Illarion) is free and will remain free.
Other Thing: Can you realy *speak* your name? I cant.

Cant wait to get back in Illarion, time away realy makes you want to play again :P

@dendthor I am from New Jersey, USA, as it says under my avatar!

@indrkl Tibia is free, but Illarion is much better. :D Its a good place to spend you time if you are still waiting, though there is totally no RP atmosphere; lots of spammers. Go to http://www.tibia.com. I am John Laffing, in the world of Trimera. It has been 6 weeks of waiting for me, but I got the questions a few days ago and responded to them. I am patiently waiting for the reply. :D

I don't know about Tibia but I tried Dransik and came back here real quick.

There were WAY too many people in town. You couldn't greet or talk to anyone because everybody was running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

I've also heard that a lot of the other so called free games only let you advance to a certain level then you have to start paying or you stay at that level. So only the people who can afford to pay get to advance.
Not like that in Illarion. It is an equal opportunity world. :D

Tibia is not like that, but you start out in a Newbieisland. Then once you reach level 8, you can choose your vocation, and move to a city on the Mainland. You can have a Premium Account, but that is if you wish.

I'm sure someone who has a Premium Account has advantages over the ones who play for free, else they wouldn't have it.

Darlok.
1) this name in my forums isn't my ingame name. It is only cos I am used to log in with that name to everywhere.
2) I can spell it :D (it took a lot of practice though)
3) My ingame name is Indreekos and besides. The GMs allready accepted it :)

I feel horrible. I wasn't accepted. But to keep my sprits up, I guess I will patiently try again. :D

oh, but you already got an answer...!
I don't know why, but now I am waiting 6 and a half week. I answered the questionaire but until then, I didn't hear anything neither of a GM nor from Cosma...

Anyone know a reason? Because John Laffing was only waiting for an answer for about 5 weeks (right?). And I am waiting even longer, what means, that Cosma should already have read my mail...

Please help me...
