Yes and because the server is in Germany, here prevails fascism * rofl *

I find the explanation why democracy cannot survive particularly interesting, could belong into a George Bush advertising slogan; -)

Sorry, but some thoughts are only funny.

Back to the theme. The facts are :

1.) If someone is banned, he has violated some server rule(s).
2.) The person who bans someone, found that out, by seeing it ingame or browsing server log stuff.
3.) The person who gets banned, and violated rules, normally knows that. A player should know the server rules, normally.

Therefor, we have two possibilities :

1.) The banned one does not know WHY he is banned. He did not read server rules. At the beginning of the game is a BIG comment to do so. Therefor, it's own stupidity.

2.) The banned one knows the server rules. In this case, he acts against them willingly, therefor KNOWS why he is banned.

In both cases, i think, no extra explanation is necessary. The banned one should in case of 1.) read the server rules, and follow those in the future - or, in case of 2.) learn that rule violations can be found out.
In both cases, NO NEED to go on the nerves of any GM.

Many (especially younger) players seem to think that they can "avoid" server rules, and when caught, go on the nerves of someone with the ability of removing the punishment. Or even threaten a programmer or game master, such has also happened. Such behaviour always leads, as Serpardum said, to PERMANENT server bans.

Accept your punishment, read the server rules, follow them - and you wont have such problems next time.
Don't anger staff members, and you may be able to play again in a while.

Uhhh... There is another one.

3.) The person who was banned was innocent and knows the rules and did nothing wrong.

I am not complaining, because of statistics. If 1% of all people in American jails are innocent, that is 20,000 people. Also, i can guarentee that most people in jail are "innocent." This topic is not to complain, it is to get answers, and i guess i have found the answers hidden with in the topic. Thanks, i guess. :?

Believe me, GMs do not ban people who are innocent. GMs do ban people who THINK they are innocent.

It's up to the interpretation of the rules, and the interpretation of the GM overrides the interpretation of the players.

You do not THINK you were guilty because you only killed him twice, you just helped the person who killed him multiple times.

The GM who banned you felt that by you helping the person who was multi-killing you were also guilty of the same thing, and I agree.
