recieve (by paul) should read "receive" (later corrected by astral).

assum (by paul) should read "assume"

learn can be used as regular and irregular verb, therefore both of the following versions are correct:
learn, learned, learned
learn, learnt, learnt

martin, who will check the german versions now. ;)

@Astral: Your way of reporting the errors was very helpful.

Thanks again to all!!

All reported errors until this posting are fixed.

@Mishrack: Why do you like to break necks? Without your help there wouldn't be an English website version even ...

@Alatar
The surprisingly small perfectionist part of me has trouble coping with criticism...
btw, havent seen you much on ICQ lately.-..

Ah well, better get it said;

Many apologies for all the spelling mistakes on the site (@Paul - thats right, they are typos, not gramatical errors), But as any person who has spent more than one hour at a time typing things on a keyboard will know, typos do occur and it can be hard to spot them if you wrote the page in question. I extend my gratitude to you all for spotting them.

I'm not trying to criticize, only help. The least i can do is help with my mad editing skillz  and now i have made it a national effort to help with the typos. This will be a typo-free website! :D

You know most people don't like people who point out other people's mistakes. Oh and by the way Paul, skillz is spelled with an "s" :D .

by paul laffing
no its not, and if a webpage has bad spelling, it can really annoy someone who would happen to be reading the webpage  . An error free webpage has a greater presentation. On to better spelling!!!

What are you a english teacher? Plus what about that skills thing. Anyway i do have to agree with what you are saying but they are translateing it from germen to english so you have to expect a few errors.

by paul laffing
Exactly, and i am helping with the errors. See? But anyway, skillz is with a "z" in my dictionary

Well then you need a spell check for your dictionary!

What he said??
*falls out of his chair laughing*

I think that needs to be fixed immediately. it is on http://www.illarion.org/development/us_ ... aneous.php and it kind of reminds me of an old video game called Zero Wing.

AD 2010
War Begin
Captain: What happen?
Mechanic: Someone set up us the bomb
Operator: We get signal
Captain: What!
Operator: Main screen turn on.
Captain: It's you!!
Cats: How are you gentlemen!!
Cats: All your base are belong to us
Cats: You are on the way to destruction
Captain: What you say?
Cats: You have no chance to survive make your time
Cats: Ha ha ha ....
Operator: Captain!!
Captain: Take off every 'ZIG'!!
Captain: Move 'ZIG'.
Captain: For great justice.

*falls out of his chair again*

That is just plain hilarious.

By the way on that link "What he said??"
The word learnt should be learned.

And Paul where do you get the z in skills?

Posted: Sun May 18, 2003 5:59 am
by paul laffing
What do you mean, the z in skillz? Whats wrong with it?

And learnt can also be correct, but I don't think that that "what he said?" is on purpose...

Posted: Sun May 18, 2003 6:33 am
by Crocket
I stand corrected, learnt actually is a word.

But skillz is not.

Oh yeah..there are a few spelling mistakes in game as well.
Take "Trunc" For example.
It is meant to be Trunk
I can't remember the other ones however.

by paul laffing
Well, it takes mad skillz to find the mistakes, Crocket. Skillz you don't have. :P

As for other spelling mistakes in the game, when you read a druid book on the fungi like redhead and bulbsponge, it says they can be found in 'moos' ground. That should be moss or forest ground.

Well, I must leave a parting message

"Take off every zig
Move zig
For great justice"

:D
That should be, like, the message you get when you have been killed.

For those of you who do not understand the "z" of "mad skillz," I will explain to you simply that it is a factor that only certain people of certain ages of certain intrests that have been exposed to certain media of their certain interests will understand. Basically, if you do not fit these "certains" so far, the spelling of the word "skillz" will most likely make absolutely no sense whatsoever. :) The furthest example I can get is that "skillz" is, in a way, akin to a phrase such as "What up my G-dog, yo? We be bling-blingin', yo".

Confused?

Exactly. If you haven't gone through the certains, you *certainly* won't understand.
