Thing about Illarion is that its damn complex....Its like tibia when I started it, it has too many different things..and the graphics arent too great, but 1 year ago graphics for tibia sucked too...Okay i will try it, someone meet me in it, Il name myself Casca..although my comp is very slow with downloads..might take a while

You are making fun of tibia, over 2500 players, and oyu make fun of Runescape which has even more...I do hate runescape, it is a stupid game, but this game is just pathetic, 15 people online, you will never succeed without battling and experience, its what roleplaying games are made of...

First of all we dont care if we dont have 2500 players. And roleplaying games are made of ROLEPLAYING, that's why they are called roleplaying games And I played Runescape myself, but I prefered this one.

Roleplaying isnt all blood and violence, thats a beet 'em up or whatever, not roleplaying, which shows they aren't really rpg, just medieval bloodpits, not roleplaying.

Listen, Casca...I have tried Runescape about a year ago. I was addicted, but throwing a pick at a rock and doing nothing but raising skills the whole time got VERY boring. In fact, I gave away a character named Klath that had mostly rune items. It just didn't seem fun...why? Because you never found a player that said "I'll pay a hardy adventurer 200 gp to go retrieve some wood from the elves." It was always "U R such a nOOb you stupid nOOb! how dare u play when u r a nOOb! I have rune! I'm better! Skill, skill, skill, powergame, etc." It's very, very irritating. The fun I have always found in roleplaying games was authenticity of an adventure. I get excellent satisfaction from being praised a saint for slaying an evil dragon, or living as a famous, full time merchant. Heck, earning myself a living as a professional alchemist was one of my most favorite occupations. If you're looking for bloodshed, go enjoy pounding someone on Tekken Tag or Mortal Kombat...yes, fighting games are fun, but this is ROLEPLAYING. It's much more extensive. Frankly, I'm glad the main focus isn't comparing skills...but rather, roleplaying as different races with intelligent people.

The bottom line...a universe is MUCH more enjoyable with intelligent, multiracial people with several official occupations rather than a server clogged with 2.5 thousand little kiddie powergamers. Runescape isn't even Roleplaying. I was only amazed with it for awhile until I came to this...because for a time, it was the only online graphical MUD I could find.

Now that i have got to know a Tibia player, i know for sure why i wouldn't ever play it. Now there's not only the horrible graphics, the missing RP...no there's the strong impression that Tibia players are arrogant idiots.

You may want to join, but you don't have have what it takes to get in, so too bad.
The positive part is roleplaying, a concept which you have confused with hacking-and-slashing-type so-called rpgs. The enjoyment comes from the art of acting like a real medieval fantasy character. But that must be too sophisticated for you to understand, so you might as well go back to your thrill of watching a bunch of numbers go up the more you click your mouse.

Casca, you appear to be bent on not getting accepted for Illarion.
Firstly you insult in the most immature and nonsensical manner our number of players. As another poster already said, the low number of accepted players (accepted players being those who can Role Play a certain type of character in a believeable and realistic fashion) means that Role-Play is easier to carry out and that all are equal and nobody is put down for suggesting things, lest the suggestion be silly.
Secondly you go insulting people of other backgrounds-
Brazilians (I know you said it was a joke, but the fact you insulted them as a joke proves something...) whom a great number of, play this game I assure you. You then proceed to call this webpage and forum "gay," which is something a child of four would not say to another child of four.

I could rant on about your immaturity and beliefs of what role-play is, all day....but I have fish to sell-

I have played Tibia, but it gets boring, and the level transition from 8 to about 15 is choppy as hell, you fight rats for a year until your brain leaks out and you lose interest... Unless you have no life, that is... Like you, Casca.

Apparently you don't know what a real RPG is, and Tibia IS NOT one of them. Niether is Runescape, with names like "sk8terrmindoo55", etc.

Illarion will get better, and the atmosphere is much better than Tibia will ever have.

ALSO, the communication b/w the Creators of Tibia and the players is nonexistant.

HOLY CRAP!!!!! Tibia is the pethetic one!! Even runescape is better than it!!!!!!!!!! And runescape kinda sucks! Tibia has the smallest world I have ever seen. The HARDEST buying system I have seen for any game of the entire world! Also a big shot game with 10000 people in it don't make it good. I can tell already you are no gamer! Tibia made no sense at all either! I died so I couldnt hold anything becuase I couldnt put gold anywhere! Tibia needs some patches....It needs a new outlook infact.

I tired Tibia while waiting for my account, and the one thing i like about tibia is how fast you can walk, and you can move diagonally, and uh and thats it. Other than that it sucks, I tied talking to people but no one ever said anything back.

Maybe you were talking to one of a million NPCs-yet another drawback.

No you could start cursing at a NPC in Tibia and all it would say it "Hello".

casca probably has stopped looking at this post...... so this has just become a tibia flaming thread... Now everyone calm down. and stop replying to this darn post.
