A cow ,a cow is needed!

I would suggest for the last of our tunnels work we capture a oxen (bull or cow) to carry our rock burdens, these animals are placid and very strong, capture and taming should be possible ,also this animal will be of great service in furture building projects.

I would very much like suggestions on this matter put up on this board.

A commonly used cow would be great. It could be tethered in the stables during off seasons when there be no work for it. A few bundles of grain would suffice to tame it or perhaps apples.. I've tried feeding a tamed one, named bessie, which pulled the cart of the fortune teller in cadomyr.. She responded well to the grass commonly found in the desert, so am sure another could very well be tamed by using the greener grass in galmair.
On the matter of finding them, i did see the wild ones to the north east.. in the forest and surrounded by spiders and wolfs and such.. a group of warriors could clear the way and bring in the wild one and then anyone capable of training and taming could do it in galmair

~Zzrracck"Purple"~

PS: Bulls are stronger, but more difficult to tame as some had been known to go wild and attack when people went near them. They might be able to carry more, but if anyone could tame it, it would be worthwhile.. i would even like to try a hand at taming it..

What can the lowly cow do but a little moo, they are so weighted down already they can barely move. Bears would be so much stronger, carrying a much heavier load and willing workers when briefly tamed with the right temptation. This noble beast will be able to help finish our tunnel project for a price. I am willing to coordinate this part of the project.

I have a message from the Master Alchemist and Tunnel Manager, our great Ufedhin. It is very hard for him to send one... all his slimes die as a result and I am not sure I can get a message back to him but will try to let him know we are continuing the tunnel work.

He desires us to start trying to tame the bears for the last of the tunnel work so I would appreciate volunteers for this attempt. Anyone with experience with taming wild animals, possibly alchemy experience and mages are welcome to assist with research and advice. Hopefully by the time Ufedhin returns, we will be ready to have the bears finish the project and he can over-see the completion.

Thank ye all fer the successful bear hunt , the bear will be a great asset te the work !

However there arr some among us with odd feelings about bears so the following rule applies

The elfs Leena and i think "Averal" or some such, have a temporary bann from entering the tunnel
due to the unfortunate fact they will cause mischief with the bear.

By order o' the Tunnel manger.Ufedhin Copperhand.

I caution any with plans to perform mischief in the tunnel or with the bear, that this will be taken very serious
and will be viewed as an act o' treason and sabotage against the town o' Galmair.

A parchment suddenly appears as if by magic...

As the official tamer of the bear named Eklob, I would like any that approach him to first discuss options with me. This does not include Sammy which may bring beer and tell more stories, nor Ufedhin, Jerem, Banduk, Oxi and Brawndara who helped to take him to his new home. Erin, Leena and Bart, I would like to talk to you at a later date.

A small parchment is added with writing in red...

The bear has been lead back to his home yet keeps following us back..he won't even stay for the beer, honey or strawberries. It has been hypothesized he wishes to hear the stories.

Anyone wishing to discuss this development about the bear please contact me. As of now, he is roaming around Galmair looking presumably for a cave so be cautious of any caves you enter.

Ufedhin my friend, do you really think we need another tunnel?
Look at the streets and the mountins in Galmair! We need to put the rocks away and make better streets for the trader. Maybe we make a roof on the market place that they dont get sick when it rains or for the food! Do you wanna eat some bread who breaks when you look at it because the rain makes it like this?

For me, we have to fix up the town infrastructure!

Manron

Renovations of the Galmair structers and pathways would start soon.
A Caretaker/ another title will be appointed for these purposes.

Ufedhin is the tunnel manager. And this tunnel very valuable for the further Developments in Galmair.
Let the current works carry on and the preparations for Mas as well as the siege be take n care of.
Tunnel and other renovations will take its due course n time to plan n finish.

Thank you, thank you for your input Manron and for the answer Purple, please feel free to contact me in person for any debate on the new tunnel, and keep this notice board free for the public works announcements.
These tasks i perform fer the greater good o' Galmair with Galmairians and at the behest of our Great Don.
On a personal note :why i would shift all o' Galmair underground if i could.

Looken forwards te Galmair worken tegether again fer our benifit.

This will be updated often so please looks at this to see what is still required for the complete Tunnel build.

Tunneling downwards is going to be difficult and perilous.
So I would be accepting donations as well as volunteers to work towards this venture as soon as possible.

To reply to the unnamed and unsigned Dove left for me,

All proceedings, donations and any help worth menitioning about the project would be put up here along with total.
Naming each and everyone along with the amount they supplied as material as well as through manual labour would be formulated as a list and submited to Don personally by me after the tunnel gets finished.

*************************
Trails of blood could be seen from the copperhand tunnel to the well near the market.
Anyone who follows the tracks of paws n tail (which obiviously belong to a lizard) leading them to the remains of items left behind near a pile of rocks inside the tunnel could come to the conclusion that its the Chancellor Zzrracck "Purple" who was gravely hurt.
It might seem that the roof of the tunnel had come down on him during an inspection.
