Felix, I'd just like to point out that I wasn't upset nor was I offended or thought it to be impossible. I can see clearly what you mean and I do try to keep a standard. The criticism you have offered me is of great help and I do realize I'm not an old soul, that's why I'm letting this be a lesson. Feel free to send me a personal note detailing any problems or things that I might lack in my work, just as I've encouraged recently everyone on the Guard board.

Mister Felix.
You mentioned corruption. You mentioned hiding painfull facts. I hope you have read my report of the whole evening, of everything that happened to lead up to the whole mess. There are several instances where I am very honest about my mistakes. About how I did not use my "guard authority".
I am also very honest about how I jumped to conclusions and how I could have been wrong. I would like to ask how many others have admitted that, that their interpretation may have been wrong, or too hasty.
I am well aware that the guard has a history. Many people on the island do too, and in that case the history of Athian should be included too, even if I do not know much of it. If crimes by guards that I have never known should be counted against me, then any wrongdoings of his own should be counted tripple.
To be very honest. As honest as I was in writing that my memories got confused towards the end, and that I did make wrong decisions. The way you make it sound is like "the good old powerful boys will settle it", "You new guys don't know what is going on."
I wish to point out that I never advocated Athian banned for life, just that a just penalty be extracted for his behavior. Since he admits guilt, settlements should be possible to arrange. If the settlement includes me, I would ask that my part to be donated to the guard. I lost nothing but some trust in me and some trust in myself, and I was damaged in nothing but my pride. I will take that gladly for knowing his true personality.
