I too think that skill have too rais mauch slower
because:
often the older char who play allready long time get beaten by newbs which have no idea of rpg and only try to kill other. I mean someone who play allready one year or longer should be better than a noob who play one weak.
items that are much harder to make would get more expansive and nobody will throw around with platemails
Dämons wich should be the elite of all monsters can beaten in just 2 days without powergaming, so that you can erase all monsters becouse they are no danger just a short way to get money.

Ok now I come to my second point. I do agree with Cain here in a way. But I also agree with serpardum to. There is a problem with the mechant system ( i know im one of them ) so thats how i know. Because for me even with the new 10x skill gain that still doesnt help the fact that once i get my skill that high, I can STILL make stuff like i used to , Heck if i tryed real hard i could still make 250 plate armors. Easyly. Thats tottaly unrealistic like dyluck said, Thats what im trying to say, if the sucess rate of everything went down EVEN after we got that little bar up. No one could really afford time, or money to powergame. Its like for example In one hour i can make 100 OR MORE strong heals for no money. BUT if i was to be able to only make ssaaayyyy 5 strong heals in a hour there going to be worth more. I then ( if i wanted to ) could go and train with the demons and rots for like a hour with all those potions , But if i has only 5 to sell or to use NO ONE is going to powergame. So my point is the skills lost when killed may be a little bad i admit (( i died twice the other day so i know first hand just how bad they are )) But with the way it is now i could easyly gain back my skill by making those potions and just going back to demon cave, Its still easy to powergame even if we have to invest a little more time to do it. So my point is why not lower the skill lost when dead a little ( not much i still think we should loose a bit when we die ) And just make EVERYTHING and i do mean EVERYTHING more rare to get. I think that would solve alot of problems.....

Well, a lot of the mechnics required have not yet been put into the code to make manufacturing the way we want it.
More is to come in just about all areas. Combat, Dying, Skill Learning, Manufacturing, etc...
It just takes time.

Ok i must admit i did see some change, but it takes a while, and its not so bad either. One problem remains that ,loss of skill. I see many newbies trying to be a fighter but everytime they got smoked. Must admit it was funny, but i also felt sorry for them. I dont think they can ever leave town because of this. Oh well. Merchants getting the upper hand is not always true you know. I used to get most of my profits from killing stuff in the past, since my friends were always busy, but they do make a heck of a lot of money in a few sells.

Sure im new compared to some people, but so are you. Is the only purpose to limit the Powergamers, i was just wondering if there was more to it. we are all new.
