Orcs don't need clothes... no need to include them in paperdolling.

There are no models for gnomes, fairies, goblins, rotworms and beholders. So they can't be set towards paperdolling.
Now maybe if martin decides that 3 players are worth spending a few hours[?] designing a new model and setting up paperdolling for them, then yes they will be avaliable in the future. But given how little they are played, I wouldn't hold my breath too long.
The way I understand it, and correct me if I am wrong, the reason why these races are not played more is because of the restriction. The restriction is there because the races have certain built in extremes (ie: faries) or are difficult to know how to play because they are generally evil (Goblins, and possibly gnomes (though I think there is another reason for that)). If we could have more clear descriptions of the races than this would be easily taken care of.
PS: I know that I would still be looking forward to playing one, once the devs can get around to updatintg it, so there is still some interest among RPers.

More like there are maybe MAYBE 3 of each special race that play atleast once per month, and paperdolling them aswell would be a lot of effort for only a little bit of reward.
I can post in proposals kek

To conclude this:
Current number of player races: 8
Future number of player races: 5

Reduction of workload for paperdolling: 37.5%
Active characters: 416
Characters of dropped races: 14

With 62.5% effort, 97% of all character can get paperdolling. I'd call this reasonable. There might be reasons for the low number of special characters, but with our low player number, I doubt we really need eight player races. Keep in mind that everyone will look differently with paperdolling!
On the original proposal, as I said, monster drops are part of the "big update", so, proposal accepted

And why not simply deactivate paperdolling for the special races?

It'll look crappy then, when you have everyone running around looking all different and cool, with items and weapons showing, then you have people who don't.

It'll look ugly though, like some half-baked attempt that nobody felt like doing.
That's the problem.

I don't think the system allows for non-paperdolling chars at all anyway.
That said, I already offered to change the races for those who want to keep their precious fairy/goblin/gnome once the update comes. I will even help to come up with special story-lines and what not. This is one decision that cannot be changed.
Maybe they'll return in the future some day.
