Lets reduce the skill of 1 of his characters for doing that...

Of course, the 'rules' cannot be uberspecific, but "forbidding harassment" would basically be straight out of a hippie-commune:

1ยง

Anyone who does something that the other person doesn't find to be like nice and totally like cool, is potentially committing harassment which is punishable with like imprisonment and stuff. So you should like, try to be nice to others, dude. When the ancient spirits of the great blunt have like spoken in regards to the like, accused case of harassment, that's like the final word.

The, like, explanation:
Because like everything said in like anywhere potentially constitutes as harassment, thus anything like anything anyone like says can be taken out of context and like used as a tool to get the person like, banned. The gamemasters would then be like hard pressed when trying to find out the actual context and motives behind like every fragmented 'insult', disagreement or like whatever before like making their judgement on the matter, which would be like very hard to make in unbiased and certain manner. This would like potentially result in people getting banned without like any due cause.

I know for like a fact that people like have tried to get someone, like banned in the past for personal disagreements which have been like completely unrelated to illarion. And like, while some of you like think this would like help to improve the community athmosphere, I think that it would like, just give people ammunition when fighting like their own completely unrelated personal problems in here between eachother. This would like, turn illarion into a weapon to be used against others instead of what it is like now, a game. Like, think about it dudes.

Peace out dudes, we don't like, need to fear that the big brother or whatever was watching our every line everywhere like all the time. Anything you like, say can be taken out of context and be like used against you by like these administrators who don't like have to follow the checks and balances of like a real legal system. Like, you would potentially have to prove your innoncence. This kind of thing could be subject for like some serious abuse, man.

*rolls a joint*

The more rules there are, the more people get the possibility and backup-power to act like assholes towards each other.

So let's remove every illa rule ever. We'll hope society stops reskilling, random pk, etc.

And I think rules are there to STOP people acting like assholes, just like the "theft" rule in real life

Well as I recall some people believe the storyline in-game solves itself aswell and the gm's should not influence it at all, so maybe that'd work with those things aswell.

But yes, if society would change towards being more respectfully towards each other there'd not be a need for as many a rules as there are now.

Not the ones that enable others to report you for everything (the people waiting for a chance to "bring others to justice" are being the ones behaving like assholes then, I meant).

That was about roleplay ..you know, in character.. No problem if you don't know what I'm talking about, as it seems that many people suffer from the inability to separate "rules + ooc dissatisfaction" from "rp" currently. Others argued that gamemasters should always interfere to change the roleplay in the game when it's unpopular and that there should be consequences for the actions of some people (Read as in: The staff should interfere when these people and their buddies don't like the ingame situation and that there should not be consequences for their actions, but for the actions of the 'the others').

Personally, I find the idea absolutely ludicrous. The gamemasters should only uphold the actual game rules (addition of which is being proposed here), make flavour-quests and keep the sticky fingers off the roleplay which matters (the character-to-character roleplay).

No need for pointing that out, I already knew, thank you.

My point is still up though.
