Sorry to break it down, but in the last time it just all looks like "we do what we want, deal with it" attidude from the gm's to name a few exampels:
-good/bad day
-restrictions of playble races (halfelves)
-Some strange things in the craftingsystem like high ressourcewaste and much interruptions

All this was allready mentined by players and all that the staff gave was "we did it, we won't take it out or change it", just look into the "what you don't like in illarion" Topic, count how many people thinl that the staff has a sommunitcation problem.
Another thing is that you barely see any devs even online, this is on one side allright, because hidden player chars are needed for the devs to atleast get to play without being flogged by player on the other side it has this "you just programm you are never ig" feeling and the last thing to add, some things changed ig are ridicoulus, they seem to be highly unbalanced and thus it seems that the staff itself never made the "work" you need to accomplish something.

Seriously --- I'm pretty sure this would change simply nothing
Agreed.

@Pellandria: I do not disagree (should be enough of a statement). But communication could be worse. It was way better in the past, just have a look at my favourite game ever: http://web.archive.org/web/200111272225 ... larion.de/

Note the detailled lists of changes right on the front page.

@Dariya: With player-gm-chat I ment a chat at a given time, with a given topic, not random IRC chatter. Some of them were great successes, others real failures, but

On topic: I do not think it has much use to elect a Klassensprecher. ;-)

Saddly enough I have to agree with Martin (a rare occurance I know), it won't work. Nothing is going to change. The staff may consist of players but they also fall into their own cliques. However even though the staff is made up of players sometimes they still don't get what pisses people off. I have faith that a majority of the staff plays (discluding Martin ironically enough), but I still don't think the staff interacts with players well enough on a staff - player level. They interact fine on a player - player level, but when it comes to seperating them out from the players there is a gap in comunications.

I think nights where the staff and players can talk on IRC or something similar would be great. Maybe it will establish a better between the staff and players.
