This is hardly the place to discuss the system, but I'd like to share my views.
First off, what you have done here is to create yet another kind of trader, who will become rich on yet another ware only warriors need. Warriors on the other hand, who are already poor, will have to pay a fortune on food. Would it not be better to lower another atribute if you do not eat the right food? This way all the different professions would have to buy it.
My new warrior is currently starving because I do not know wether eating fruit (which is poor food even for elves) will just ad up til a point where he has no way of regaining his normal constitution level. He is also still in his starting gear, as it is nearly impossible to make money on fighting. The fact that the TB traders will not buy the little wears he actually finds, does not make it better. However I am told that this situation will soon change.
Thats just my views on the system, thanks for reading:)

I am not Nitram and I won´t crucify you.
Constitution is the most logical attribute for that system. Who is most affected by this? Fighters and mages, the "royal classes". Justifiable, I think.
-> join a group which supports you.
Just my view on that system.

i disagree. the effect depends on the goods traded.
endproducts versus halfproducts or rawmaterials.
the new crafting system costs the PO of a crafter more time now.
so a crafter, who wants to have some time left for RP, can not make everything by himself.
the effects would be twofold: a brewer from, lets say, madagaskar would easyer be able to buy empty bottles from a glasblower in hawaii, if vendors are used.
and, some of the "riches of crafting" are taken off even before the product is complete.

Even with the risk of dragging this OT..
Warriors are a "royal" class?
Are we playing the same game here? Warriors are basically the real (and only) workhorses of the game. They bear the risks (the risks of an average craftsman are negligent), get (mostly) paid with crap and are constanly getting shafted by the new "logical implementations" while (at the same time) are keeping the economy running. Their purchases are getting more and more expensive and they need to buy more and more stuff to maintain their ability to keep on making the coin. That's hardly anything royal, unless you mean royal hardships. There are of course those people who can solo the most challenging monsters and hence get "phat loot" which they "can" sell to other fighters. They might be royals, maybe. Something comparable to the master-mages. But most fighters aren't like that I guess. At least not my character (and he can take Ogres on his own without potions, something which is rather.. average.)
Most others are just having a free ride on the warrior's back, and it seems that everyone who's not there now wants to join in.
We need to implement something comparable shit for crafters. Like for example, you kill yourself by setting yourself on fire while cooking, you fumble with molten iron and pour it all over yourself, accidentally poke your finger with the needle and develop a deadly infection and such..
It's only fair and logical for our "No risk, no spending & disproportional earnings" - people.

Chances are, that the cost of the "riches being taken away" is directly transferred into the end price of the product.
Like:
Production costs +10c = Item price +10c
So any "increase in difficulty" will just be transferred to the end user in some form or another. Shite slides down to the "royals", and all that..

Ich unterstütze Cromwells aussage seit der Drop von den Monstern verringert wurde, ist das Problem für einen Krieger er kann sich entscheiden ob er Geld in Rüstung und Schwert oder aber in Essen investiert für beides oder ein Klohaus reicht es seither nicht.
Gut ich habe einen Waldläufer, der kämpft quasi nur als Leibesertüchtigung und kann nun allmälich auch das ein oder ander Handwerk beginnen aus zu üben.
Ohne diese Handwerke und ohne die Sympatien durch die er manches recht günstig bekommt.... wäre er entweder nackt und gut genährt oder in Rüstung und in schlechter Konstitution.
Ich habe auch den Eindruck, dass er in letzer Zeit beim Kämpfen schneller hungrig wird.
Habt Ihr da auch was gedreht?

Eh, I might have missed out on osmthing, but I never mentioned the new fighting system. How long time the crafters use to produce their products is irrellevant to the fighter, except that with the new system he has to pay even more, while the crafter (as cromwell says) only takes more coin for the finished product. So while traders now have a way to make more money, warriors have a even harder time making money. This is how it will be, til the drops of monsters are increased, or til the traders somehow get dependant on the fighters. I can understand that this is hard to do though, what pisses me off is when yet another ware is made, and you have the possibility to make EVREY trade dependant on it. But what do you do? You take even more money from the fighters, who are by no means royal anymore. I can not remember them being before either actually. As far as i recall, smiths have always been the royality of Illarion.

Care to clarify this? Is there a limit on how much negative food has effect? Or will somone who ate a million "bad food" products have to eat a million "good food products" to neutralise the effect?

No. If you eat allways bad food ( but you need allready a lot to change the influence to the constitution ) you reach a limit. If you reached this limit and eat more and more bad food, nothing happens. If you eat good food then your constitution is getting better.
But you can fill up your food bar a few times before your constitution is effected in any way.

Having a crafter, mage and fighter char, I agree.. the fighter is the lowest in the game now for the ability to earn a living unless they also do crafting.

Das stimt nicht.. mein char war sozusagen vom System her die ganze Zeit feucht, als er regelmäßig Wasser getrunken hat.. jetzt trinkt er keins mehr und kann sich sogar mal einen Wein genehmigen, ohne angetrunken zu werden.
