I haven't looked at this topic since some time and now what do I find? Patric's random bitching..
Seriously man, do you have the slightest idea how much work we do to keep you, normal players entertained? Or do you have the slightest idea how much work did Thorvald at this quest, or Cass at the server so that it doesn't crash? This is how you show your gratitude?
In my opinion, you need to chill, enjoy the game and, as Jen told me loads of times for Avalyon (<3 Jen), play Samantha in a more humble way, because she's not a godess.

He is in no way diminishing the efforts of the staff (especially server programming no idea where you got that??) but doesn't like a part of the game. Patric's points are valid, however the criminal punishment system has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Neither is discussing how Samantha is played, or even his complaining on the forums.
Why must every sickness make you undead? Why can't we just have a technically neat one, like it reduces your speed alot cause you can't breath well or something? Or maybe your hair falls out? Or maybe clumsy hands where you randomly drop stuff? Undead is just too generic me thinkith.

It didn't make them undead. It just make your skin all boil-covered and nasty and such. But that (changing yoru graphic to a mummy) is the easiest way to make it very visible that someone is hugely sick.

Hello!
This thread is about a feedback and a negative reaction is a feedback, too. This has nothing to do with a lack of gratitude. Everybody has the right to tell what he liked or disliked about this quest. Please be a little more open minded and relaxed when it comes to other peoples opinion.
With kind regards

Conveys to me that they are a mummy, a undead creature that my chars slay on a nearly daily basis.

I recall when we were all sick in the arena we rp'd it well enough before our flesh melted off and we became skeletons.

Well, in a way I must agree with what Patric wrote.
Hearing that Nalzaxx, an evil char who brought nothing but death over Gobiath with his temple etc., was the one who made the plague dissappear does not make me feel very well.
Not due to the fact that it is again him, a well-known evil char who returns from nowhere to heal the folks. And no, I do not dislike the PO, I do not even know him.
I feel bad about because of the consequences it has for roleplay ig.
The return of Nalzaxx could mean that the Temple is back - please, not again the temple. Can he never ever be defeated?
Or Nalzaxx' return and his actions could be interpreted in the way that there truely is a new god born, the god of plagues etc. - but then my char would ask: How did he become a god? You are born as a god and cannot become one. Consequently he is a liar. There must be aplan behind his actions. My char would think (as many others do) that he was the reason for the plague and that he tries to get more power by saying "here I am, i was the one who healed you".
So, in long-term and if I would have enough time for playing, I would go out now and kill Nalzaxx, the self-proclaimed god to safe Gobiath.
But that is something I do not have any time for at the moment and I am not in the mood to fight another evil person, since there are plenty odf them around currently.
For me, I have spend hours and days in the last weeks to try to create a more safe Troll's Bane. The result now is that there have never been so many evil persons around as long as I play this game. And there hardly are enough good players to go against these evil characters.
However, I will try to do my best. But now and in the next weeks I do not have as much time as I spend for this game in the last weeks. But I will see what I can do to finally bring order to Troll's Bane.
You will notice what may will happen, however.
Well, in the end I have too many thoughts and it is quite hard to write them down. So, back to topic: Quest was good - Nalzaxx as the solution was not the best idea in terms of what the game needs at the moment.
Cheers

Meh, you guy just like to speak without knowing ... The Nalzaxx thing was not to mark his return, but his final leaving.

Well, how could we know before, if noone tells us?
Anyway, regarding that the Quest was for saying 'goodbye' of nalzaxx makes hardly any sense under aspects of roleplay. For me it is unlogical and contributes nothing to future roleplay ig then, sorry.
However, the quest itself still was great. But the end is something what makes me fell not very happy...

Yes Avalyon is right, Nalzaxx came back but only to heal the plague. Whether you believe he caused it in the first place, and whether you believe he is now a god or not is an ingame matter and was always meant to be so.
Nalzaxx did linger at the Temple for awhile in order to give the people there some chances to roleplay with him. However he has not come back to restart the Temple, or act as an all powerful NPC for them.
You can now consider Nalzaxx gone for a very long time. Of course he may make appearances in the future as a quest character, but he is never coming back to resume the role as the leader of the Temple and to cause havoc in Gobiath again.
There are a number of reasons I used Nalzaxx to heal the plague. Firstly, as many of you have appreciated, the irony that after causing so much misery to the island Nalzaxx comes back to save it cannot be missed. Secondly he is well known as being the Lord of Pestilence and Plague and has a lot of history with the older characters. It gives it that extra impact for the older players rather than if it was some random new NPC. Thirdly, he's my baby and I never considered his story finished. I wanted to clear up a few questions on where Nalzaxx went and where he goes now. Rather than merely dissappearing.
His reasons for healing you won't be clear to those who just see Nalzaxx as OMFG Evil L1CH man Kill!!1! However to those that actually know the character it will make sense.
I know you and I have had our differences in the past Patric, and I think thats where a lot of your animosity to this quest comes from, but I can assure you you needn't stop playing because of this quest. I can assure you, nothing will change. Dain wasn't broken out by a mummy called frank. He was infact broken out by playercharacters that assaulted Siltaris and stole her key.
How did he become a god? You are born as a god and cannot become one. Consequently he is a liar.
The younger Gods were not born as Gods. Read up your history young padawan. They were mortals from Nabranoo who were chosen by the Elder Gods.

Well, two simple questions.
1. WHO said that Nalzaxx is a god ?
2. WHAT do people with megalomania sometimes claim ?
...see.
I can really understand that many players simply have enough of the temple because it always comes back after being defeated, and even the members do after escaping the prison so they are not punishable and also return each day.

Or just make new characters and do it again..

...What the smile Temple?
It had nothing to do with the quest!
It has 3 bloody members, Avalyon who litterilly sat on his arse doing nothing for months.
Grivijak Who randomly went around not doing anything troublesome unless challenged.
Dain who goes out and starts fights or whatever.
Stop pissing around with the temple in this thread. You all seem to think its some big bad organisation again that goes out on killing sprees with pushed chars. wrong. We just stole it like the other players were about to do.

First point. Thank you Damien
Second Point. Is moot, this quest had nothing to do with the Temple.

Dain might return each day, but how does that mean he is not punishable? The way we escaped from prison was taking keys. I am more annoyed by the fact that Dain could go kill all the people that want to kill him and they would come back with more people. I mean Samantha is the only one against the temple that has EVER killed Dain. So before you start talking about not being able to punish the characters with jail, start thinking of thew fact that the same characters never get what they want either. And Damien, you seem to lack the knowledge of what is going on with the temple.

I have enough feedback, Lrmy. But mention "Nalzaxx" to anyone and the answer will be "Temple". PLUS it is known amongst the players that Nalzaxx was at the temple place, trained with the members (even avalyon and the others), and claimed to be a god they were praying to latest. Which shows what ? See.
I would also act pissed if i heard that, counting two and two together and thinking that the GMs will throw the same old villains plot line into the game again and again. That's why i understand it.
The Character "Nalzaxx" had his final appearance with that anyhow, and will not be used anymore. It's an end, even if it's a open-ish one. But read the story related stuff when the player of the NPC is posting it.

Dain escaped many times the jail BEFORE avalyon and co ambushed. samantha and siltaris jailed him good 3-4 times. and somehow he escaped every time without being released from a guard.

Dain has only been jailed twice........
And revise your current guards better.
Anyway, lets not fill this topic with anymore crap.
