You are correct. Samantha is one of the best played mages and the thing about giving runes to every newb that joins the academy is plain stupid.. Common man.. I once saw someone that was casting illusions, but had not one idea of what OOC is.

Whatever happened to Sedian Layor? Why even bother having an academy? Why not have a few gm or player controlled characters to teach a few students each, and have a waiting list or something similar?

STOP SPAMMING / FLAMING.

This topic is ONLY for coordinating players with the teaching rune. Which is impossible with all these stupid, misplaced complains.

Everyone continuing discussions here risks a ban now.
Garrett, consider yourself as whacked with a smelly trout now, your "bangs" have nothing to do on forums which are accessable by minors. Consider yourself warned.

@Nagitoth, Samantha and Jeremy Please contact me on MSN (or ICQ) ASAP.
Btw, PO Ultoris does not want to play that char anymore, so it is up to us five ( with Sideon ).

To Board admins : Could you please delete every post that doesn't belong here (Everyone's posts except for those of Thorvald, Samantha, Nagitoth, Jeremy and me) ? Thank you.

I just wanted to add:

If some people here (You know who you are) will continue constant flaming and spamming in the general forums, I will delete your posts without warning. (Though you will be warned!)

Late in Europe = afternoon/evening in the States.
Also remember that for a long time, due to the problems with the client, I was unable to get IG properly.

Teachers need the ability to teach. Had this been sorted out months ago then maybe there would be more capable mage teachers around now.

Teachers also need active students. The VMA has several students, but I seldom see most of them IG or hear anything from any of them (unless I mention teaching then they suddenly appear  ). Though I guess most have just got fed up waiting.

Personally I think one-on-one teaching is the way to go. Lower the skill requirements for teaching but leave the penalties for the teacher in place.
Even the teaching room should have a limit of some sort so that not just anyone can use it. And I definitely think the teaching rune itself should be unteachable. Only GM's\devs should be able to give that rune out. Mage teachers would have to apply for their student to be given the rune once the student has achieved a reasonable skill level.

Jeremy, i want to talk exactly about the requirement stuff because we do have an inbuilt solution for that.
But for introducing its use, we need some OOC and IC communication first. As a group.

I think Orren should get the teaching rune. he is the best teacher I have ever had, and I think he has been around for a long time..
