Because people look on it and log in or not if certain players are ig. I know, that can be handy to meet friends ingame, but is also abused.

But without it gameplay and roleplay was at an all-time low. The Devs had no access to statistics about the amount of players, and now without it, it wouldn't be easy for the GMs to find name rule breakers.

It is easier when someone has a more elaborate description:

Standing at around 6 feet 6 inchs Stephen Rothman is a tall man with a commanding aura around him. He has rusty red hair that runs down past his ears, well groomed and cleaned that go well with his friendly and quick blue eyes. He has a confident smile playing upon his lips most times. He is a powerfully built man and looks like one well fit to be a Knight or Warrior in general.
He most commonly is seen walking around down in expensive and ornamental armor of Salkamerian design and painted pure white. His plate mail tho ornamental looks to be thick and good in a fight. Around his shoulders is a fine and expensive looking dark blue cape with red lining, two golden medallions with Wyvern figures etched into them hang at his shoulders connected by a golden string at the mouth of each Wyvern so his cape shall not fall from his shoulders. At his belt is a handsome sword sheathed in a magnificent shield, with golden silk drawing a dragon figure into it. The sword looks to be a longsword, the handle is made of gold and in the pommel is a handsome ruby.

You are missing a scentice about the tunic Kallahorn wears. Consitering the coat of arms is in a big blue and white picture on the first page of the guild thread. And the fact that it says that all memebers of Kallahorn are supposed to wear it Score! One more scentance to keep them busy as I destroy them!

Agreed.
IMHO it should be a short, general PHYSICAL description of what can be easily seen without actually studying the character. Then details can be added through RP if anyone takes notice of him/her.

Technicaly that is two for describing. You are just using two different languages to describe it in.

I was just wondering wether one have to have gm aproval to play super chars like Samantha? I mean, she is noble, she is extremely beautifull. She is uberpowerfull, at least following her descreption, and she learns very quickly considering her age.
Might be a bit off topic, but it is about descriptions.

I asked a GM, Damien to be exactly, if she can be a noble from the salkamaerian realm. i even discussed with him her homeland and her life, and he accepted it all.

It was a question, not an offence... Uhm, I see. You do have to ask about being noble. What about being uberpowerfull and being extremely pretty? I think that is fast, but im new... Shouldnt a mage be old, like 60 years or somthing before he/she gets that powerfull?

she learned her spells and her skills ingame. i got the "power" through hard and honest work and roleplay ingame. you can reach the same.

It is to most women at least. If you want to flatter them, tell them they are between 21 - 25, just pick an age.

Plus I think the thing about descriptions is about people using ten hotkeys to describe one person. You can go as indepht as you want on the ooc description that people see on the players list. It is ingame that it helps to keep it as short as possible without leaving major details out.

I dont doubt that you have roleplayed very well.=) I was just refering to your history. You know, getting better than all the greatest mages and stuff... And still, what about the beautifull part? I was just wondering if one had to ask a gm to play such multi geniouses. Maybe charisma should be a new atribute? Having to spend points there to get pretty would... narrow down the beautifull chars quite a bit.. Hm, it should take a long time to learn magic I think...

Charisma is, you could say, Essence. Essence is the inner light, the "shining". with alot of essence you are more lifefull and existant to others. your eyes are full of life and all

But esscence is more like inner beauty I think. A strong soul. I have heard that beauty comes from the inside but... Again, this is not a personal hunt on you. I just think there are WAY to many goodlooking, and beautifull chars.

also this is a game. i see nothing bad when you want to play a good looking char in a game. one that is cool. noone has to be forced to play an ugly char just because there are not enough from them
