No, I would not agree. I find the insert toggle very useful if I am planning to type a fair number of whispered lines. It saves time of typing, but most importantly, ensures that you never accidentally end up with the infamous 3w's instead of the #w that you intended.
I don't see how people type 3w anyway. 3 is nowhere near #. Anyway he called me a noob for NOT using the toggle button when the toggle button is NEWER than the older system, therefore #w is less noobish than the toggle. I never said it wasn't useful.

Erm...3 is the key where # is for us whom use the QWERTY keyboard. =) I either get 3, or shift-3 (shift-3 being the #). Alex-N00b

I use the QWERTY keyboard..

£ belongs to 3 :S

3 and # is miles across the keyboard apart.

Well...Whatever. On Dutch keyboards the # is under the 3

Eng;ish and other keyboards are set up slightly differently. My keyboard's # is under the ~, over by the enter, and it is a qwerty keyboard.

once again i say, he isn't complaining about lack of whispered emotes, he is complaining that it -does- whisper the emote

Frankly I think using the older options is less noobish than using the NEW options (new-noob) wouldn't you agree?
No. I'd say using something not in the way it is intended for is noobish. And advising other people to do it wrong is worse.

Before we had the toggle, people would drop out of whisper accidentially pretty often. But it seems some people have grown fond of old problems. And for those, I have left the old # commands in the client.

Partially correct. There is no discussion needed as I have already changed it in V0.99 of the client.

#me emotes are now always spoken loud.

If you want a private one, you can explicitly whisper it:

#w#me

Sounds cool - thank you!

PS: I got a small shock with your above posting - I thought you killed the #-commands (they are far more faster then toggleing)... :)

So your telling me that When the whisper mode is on (without typing #w to whisper) Then the #me's will be loud?

And to whisper them we MUST type #w#me ?

Can you shout #me's too?
Like "#s #me knocks at the gates"

I don't like shouting for the dwarves at Silverbrand.

What about making the game to recognize #Me's as #me's?
I'm so puntual that I'm often capitalising the first letter..
