Just as a side note, I will post what *I* got in that section of log.

I have bolded the line which is the first from his log excerpt.

Please do not post over-long Ingame logs here. ~ Markous

As you can see, his line of putting up his hood does NOT show up in my log. Which I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that this means he was somehow out of my 'hearing' range, or there was some fluke (I have had lines 'not show up' for some reason before)... even though his posts just prior I received.

So yes. The reason I did not react to him being hooded was because I did not even receive the lines saying he was hooded.

Thank you hun :) But I had already pulled the log up for myself, because it bugged me... I wanted to know for sure whether I'd just missed it, or if I was right that I never received that line.

Aegohl wrote:Actually, my opinion probably differs than most in this area:

Rulewise, no one has to be effected by your #me's. It's polite of them. You can consider someone a bastard for not being effected by your #me's, but it's not a rules violation.

The reason it's not a rules violation is because to make a #me that absolutely effects another person's rp is technically forced rp. In this case, it's very innocent, however. It's just a matter of it being polite rp to go along with this.

Some of the older players remember the case where Konstantin constantly complained about the guards not listening to his #me's of being cloaked or in a costume, but the guards came back by saying that Konstantin hadn't listened to their #me's trying to arrest him in the past, and even when they had him physically surrounded he #me'd "#me dissapears!" and hit the ESC button.

The GMs did nothing, or maybe they sent out some warnings, I don't know. But there's no way you can punish either party for them not following eachother's #me's. You can just look down on both parties and say that they're not very polite rpers.

The only rules violation above was the "#me dissapears" because no one has the power to amazingly dissapear. =)
Even if you missed it, basicly I agree, and can be but greatful to Aeghol for wiping the fog off this point. No one has to follow someone's #me s if they affect the roleplay of their own characters.
Personally, if someone comes cloaked to me, someone looking suspicious, I'm sure I'd ask them to take their hood off, or in a way or another find out who they are.

For instance, this happened with me and Grant, he was cloaked, I respected that but said something along the lines that "Your voice sounds familiar.." and my char approached him trying to see who it was under the
hood, and he just #me speaks in a high-pitched female voice (or something like that). RIGHT after my char said he recognized his voice.
I don't think that's fair.

I realize I don't *have* to play along with what someone #me's in that respect.

But my point is that I *do*. When I actually receive them.

I was fucking caped, hooded, and padded with armor, you couldn't tell it was me!
A man wearing all that and having red eyes can't for sure stay unsuspicious, pal. The first any guard or official does when he sees such a person is, pulling his hood back.

There is no more stupid disguise for a criminal than wearing a black cape and hood and sneaking through town <_<

By the way. I will simply ignore your drow rp because you are for sure no half drow, you never was before. So don't try playing a half drow, since me for sure won't react on that.

Arist made a law that all people wearing a cape over thier features get PK'ed on sight in Varshikar, as they obviously dont want to be seen.

Simple case closed :D

Haha and yes, i dont beleive Governer Stephen ever bunked with a drow even if he would liked to have ;]

Probably not from lack of trying though

From my experiance this is what Illarion drows do, and did in the past:

1) In case they ever feel like mating with someout outside thier race, they make sure this person does not see the morning to tell the tale.
Unless they are kept slave for later "use".

2) Cross-breeding with other races is stricly forbidden by death penalty, the pure blood of the drow race must not be weakened.

3) If there is this rare happening of having a drow-traitor, or a drow halfblood, running arround, and even worse, proclaiming thier heritage aloud, they'll get hunted down and killed.

Looks like Grant has some fun days ahead. ;)

In past cases, people had to ask for permission to play "special" races. So we *did* find a rule violation in this afterall! Congratulations!

I notice all who haven;t mated with Stephen say it would be impossible for him to bed a drow
Iggnorance of such talent is indeed bliss.

By the way, everyone. From now on Taffi is half-drow too. He's a renegade from a colony of evil dwarven/drow conjurers with a heart of gold and he carries two magical scimitars--one that does ice damage and another one that writes cliches!

Want to know what a drow is like check out Drizzt Do'Urden...or something like that from the books the Icewindale Trilogies. Also he appears in several others. Actually he does not act like a drow any more but he explains several times what real drows are like. ::shivers in fear:: Remind me never to piss off a real drow!
