As I said, all crafts are equal. Carpentry need wood, you cut down forest and wait for hours to grow back. Time consuming.
Tailoring need cloth, however, you always can pratice with leather. You need entrail anyway. But killing pig takes time too, especailly when compete with other people.
Gold smith or smith is the same, unless you are dwarf. Otherwise you will collect resoruce distant apart.
Alchemy is about how to find ingredient. Either you run around the world or stick with herb which is extremely painful.
Remember this, you takes much more to become a master regardless what craft you choose. Not single is really leveling fast unless you own a slave to provide you with free raw material constantly.

There's always enough forest around aslong as you don't go on till you have 500 logs, you powergamers.
The finding ingredients(Exept for apples and such) depends on Herblore.
And, you can also use apples in alchemy wich are in abundance.
But you do need bottles, wich is for some anoying to get unless they know a char who does glassblowing.

Or you can blow them yourself... Grey bottles are the the first thing that a glass blower can do

you need a fair lumberjack skill though

Since what make me powergamer?! A master of any kind use resource in amount beyound you can not imagine. A forest can not make one become master carpenter nor a full mine make one become master smith.
Acccording to you, a person shouldn't be practice with his profession at all. What of fighters? The amount of creature they killed to make combat skill better is also countless. Are they not powergamer?
I simply state each profession need much more make one master. Because this? Each person is not allowed to practice his skill but interact with others?
I think two things are being saying too much. Some people don't know what the heck for?
Find out in-game! What the heck? You don't even read question, you just say it.
Powergaming! If my character is just created to talk to others, I can just ask for your msn here.
Think before you write.

Woah, chill...
1)I was just stating that some people simply train to much, 60 logs in a week used to be much, but now it's nothing anymore. Same with mummies, 50 used to be a shitload.
There are those that seem to care more for skill than rp or whatever.
I'm not saying noone should practice skill at all, so 'chill out dude'.
2) What the hell do you think the '

' was for?
