How are evil characters meant to get anywhere unless they get GM help, everywhere they turn they face multiple heroic characters bristling to slay them on the spot.
They cannot train as they have no-one to train with, they cannot gain runes the honest way as either no playercharacters will teach them, else they will be unable to find them because as soon as they step in town to look they are set upon.
They cannot buy items as no-one will trade with them, and they cannot sell items for the same reason. Hell they can't even wander into town to pick up a few items without being targetted, regardless of how many me's they spout and layers of robes they are wearing.
And of course, I think the most important issue here, let us not forget that Samantha IS a pushed character. Without her being pushed by the GM's she would not have all the runes she does. Not all of us were given that luxury. Questcharacters are there to provide quests and support to the player that get shat on by all the hero's in the town, and they need to be overpowered because if they arn't they get crapped on too.
If you do not wish to be ghosted by pushed mage characters, try implementing a little common sense when you play Samantha, if you didn't play with such arrogance and belief that she is the best mage on the isle, then it wouldn't lead to such conflict.
The reason there seem to be so many is the simple fact that it requires a new pushed quest character for each seperate quest that is being implemented.
