I travel to both the Academy and Greensbriar, and I rarely come across anyone else. I actually quite it that I don't bump into people on my travels.

I will enlighten you all now why we Orcs live in trolls bane.

1. I am English, along with Karguk and Gra'able, whereas Gort and the others are american. Gra'able and Karguk don't usually come on till later which means i have no one to be active with at the cave, meaning i will be hell bored.

2. When us 3 are on, well we have nothing to do up at the cave, because this game works best with mass roleplay of different types of people, not just 3 people. We are Orcs who cause trouble, more than we are Orcs that go around drinking beer sitting at a table doing nothing for hours.

3. The English time when most all Orcs are online is about 7pm or something. This is the only likely time we would head to the cave but, as i said before we are dependant on roleplaying with different types of people.

4. We would live in the cave if it was easy to get to trolls bane and back within couple of minutes. Like do something and then leave. Portals are annoying to have to keep using if this is what your thinking.

I'd like to point out that When the bloodskull clan was around we all were up in teh cave, then we would go to trollsban for food and go back up. Then we got some pigs up in the North and only wnet down to TB to get portals and cause trouble.

Now we live in TB because its boring in the cave.

Illarion has been around for years?
And I don't particularly want Illa to grow. I don't want another runescape that can't be contained by the gms, and soon, there'd be no RP due to lack of order. It'd just be another "Same old" MMORPG.

The solution will never happen, in which everyone will stay in Varshikar etc. because sometimes the type of people who would RP in those places are inconvinienced, and it's easier to find someone you want to RP with in a large place like Trollsbane. People aren't even going to begin starting in Varshikar because everyone will think "Noone else will start", so think they'll be no point. It's just easier for everyone to hang around in Trollsbane, simply.

if you think about it though...when there were cities they fought all the time...maby not with wepons but with words that lead to wars. If people of different town are seperated they wont truly know the other player...thuse making it like the old ways of only the Kings knew eachother not the people. There would be much more conser over land and who ownes what. The would be more cause to have a guarding force at the ready because there are several towns and races that could attack trying to steel that towns good and treasures, or trying to kill the king or someone of importance. Personally i think the other town need to expand in size and i think more people need to be opened minded about other towns.

a sugestion is you choose where you start out. like...each town has its advantages and dis advantages. Each has different merchants. this will cause town to want to ally or want to fight over the merchants. it will take alot of work but it would make the game more enjoyable for me and i am sure it would for others as well

Can I add my two-cents.

When I log on I am lucky to have 5 players online with me. Make that extremely lucky, it is usually around 2 - 3 players whenever I'm on.

And nobody is in the same place, and by the time the sever gets busy, I get kicked off the sever or I have to get off the computer because my eyes get sore and tired.

Maybe if we had at least 15 people online throughout the day then we could expand the other cities. Because I live in Australia in a GMT+10 timezone. When everyone is logging on I'm logging off.

I have had very few chances to roleplay, and the only times I do roleplay, I am usually suffering from insomina, and am IG at a time when other people are too.

Speaking as the other Australian that plays illarion (unless there are some hiding somewhere) it is a bit unfortunate that there are so few people on when its "a good time" for us to be playing. But there is Little we can do about it unless we attract more people from our timezone to play, its just a fact we have to put up with.

My two cents:

Create a special "portal" in trollsbane... This will lead you to a place where you can make a choice to be teleported to any town or large building.

This will encourage people to spread out i think...

I remember I used to play Ultima... When I wanted to explore, I easily could; because most towns used to have a portal so I could go back easily; once i reached it.

If you allow easy access to other towns, more people will go there, there is no risk of finding no-one (or getting massacred by a wolf..)

I thought about these special portals, too. But could that have negative effects...?

A direct connection to Varshikar and Greenbriar would be enough.

Vanima would be more likely. When was the last time you saw someone leave for Greensbriar, if it were not to sell cakes or carrots (and that only for 1 minute?)

yeah. I like that idea

and I want Illarion to grow, not as big as runescape, but bigger than it is now.

i have also thought about the large portals but heres the draw back...bandets...they will no longer be a place for them to steal...when people walk unprotected they are vonerable...thus making the bandets excited...you do the rest of the math
