I'm sorry Arameh, Do tell me where i played my char above his stats ever. He smooth talks, Not does flippy kicks to the chin and moves like lightning. He has a high agility, dex, and Perception. But I do not play him like a god. I play him like any other common theif. Sure there are some who have a napolean complex, and can't loose. Devrah and Sebastian got into a fight, and Devrah won. As would you if you fought Sebastian, RP or Cntrl + Click. But where sebastian excels is in smooth talking. All other theives i have met (Cris being one of about 5) Do the exact same, Play to their stats. You don't realise that it is much more difficult to play a villian character, since a hero hears a key word and flips out. We have to RP twice as hard to not get this blaming bullshit because you want to capture every thief you come encounter with.
Life's tough, Get a helmet you noob.

yeah seriously. When palying a thief, its everyone against you (and possibly other thieves if you find some that you get along with), and 2 out of 3 people have xray eyes or mind reading powers it would seem.

if your talking about my hobbit, he has been a thief for some time, and he has 20 perception. I don't see how he could miss your #me looks at their belt, and only a true thief could see that.

Speaking as a 3rd person:
If you're in jail; what are you going to do? Stay there and do NOTHING? Don't log in at all?
If there was something interesting to do (talking or such) more people would stay in there...
Illarion is there to HAVE FUN.. don't forget that...

pssh, thats what I did. also keep in mind, Jail is a punishment, it's not meant to be like an expansion to the seahorse inn. what do you want, someone games in there?

They need to make it bigger and complex, so if a thief wants to break out, there can at least be soem nice rp involved in it. of course, this would mean contacting a guard out of game to arrange when theyd try. But tahtd be neat

Punishment for your CHAR... Not for the player who spends a few hours doing nothing....

Good that there is still this one.
Let me try to show up the problem I can see there.
Jailing is useless now. Okay. In the end that will turn out even more bad for the players of villains. Because now, they will get simply 'pked'.
The guard/knights/whatever will not just tolerate that the outlaws walk into town like they feel to. They will stick to their char concept too.
So what? They can't ban them - because they walk into town frequently nevertheless. They can't jail them - because there are no jailingkeys and players don't appreciate to have their chars locked away.
They can just ctrl+click them.
Well, have fun.
PS: Of course there is still the possibility of GMs giving the villains items and skills, so they can continue walking freely into town, without having to fear that they get thrown out by the guards or the knights. How could I forget.

I remember there are jailing keys...
If they don't work or if they are lost --> pm to me

I don't think it is the target of GMs to push up any random villain.
Its sadly that you really think this. Maybe sometimes it happens that even a villain get a small push. But it is not only them, ever forget this. The players of the "good" chars, who moan about this, are normaly the players of the most pushed "good" chars.
Keep that in mind.

You are somewhat right about the pking thing. Thoe playing a char with some skill, I'd have to say odds are they won't pk you unless theres three of them or your very weak. Hell, odds are they won't jail you. I try to let guards have a upperhand so it's more fun. I'm not shur if they enjoyed it, but I like my battles with Taylor and Revlen. Shur I lost, but got to have a nice series of battles with the pair. And I could have targeted Taylor, made him run, then pick off revlen in about 4 min, but would that be fun? No, just like putting a char in jail isent, it is better to just have MORE Rp and less jailing.
I admit I have looked at the online list and said hmm theres 4 guards on/people that will help them, I think I'll visit. I will admit to NEVER looking at the list and saying theres no guards I think I'll go in and....err, buy a potion, maybe a book to Varshikar. Wait why do they care if I'm in town when no one is there?.....
