by Cain Freemont
Cain Freemont glances over all the unsigned parchments and lets out a long sigh.
To all of you who have left your names off your messages,
Are you really so afraid of Stephen that you cannot leave your name? Stephen Rothman cannot be removed without signs that the citizens are the ones that want him out. I urge all of you to add your names, in hopes that we might make a larger impact. The people of Troll's Bane used to have courage and now all I see are frightened little rabbits who are too consumed by fear to actual show what it means to be a citizen of the island's oldest known settlement. I don't want Stephen out of Troll's Bane, but I do want him out of power. A detailed report of his actions are not needed, when such a reputation precedes him. Each and every citizen is aware of his exploits. Let our names be known and let us make an impact, for the sake of Troll's Bane's future.
Poor leadership is a very good reason for not being in a position of power. If people do not wish to follow a person, then it is a sign of lacking leadership. He clearly is unable to bring the town together for a common goal and that is one good reason why he is unfit.
He said himself he would leave if he is not wanted. It is clear that it is simply not a small part of the town that wants him removed. It is clear through the list of unnamed parchments that his presence makes people fearful, not motivated, nor protected, or needed. There is no use for a leader who demotivates and frightens people. Not in Troll's Bane.
Step down, Stephen Rothman.
Signed,
Cain S. Freemont

Out of all the complaints, signed and unsigned, you have been the only citizen who has come foward. If there are citizens who refuse to sign, then that is their fault for not making it clear.
Just because one citizen asks for him to leave, doesn't mean he should.

Stephen Rothman is a fool. He should never have been allowed to proclaim the position of Governor in the firstplace.

I wish Stephen Rothman removed from his post as governor and from all administrative roles within the town of Trollsbane.
Clear enough for you?

Thank you for your post with nice grammar and meaning. But I still have no reasons why Stephen should leave his position. As everyone, he may get mad, he may lose his patience, maybe its because peoples spits on him after he gave everything for the city? I dont think most peoples wants him out, thoses than dosent just dosent post here, thats it. I am about sure most of thoses that posted against him arent aware of anything happening lately, or barely ever met Stephen. This is a joke, forget it, and return to your lives "so much" bad because of Stephen.

If Stephen is to be removed from his position, then we need an organised vote, not just some random posts like here.

Stephen is one of the most nicest man i have ever met. I am glad that all this isle isn't scum. Stephen has helped me adjust to being on this isle in more ways then he knows.
Stephen Made taxes so he could hire guards for the protection of this town and it's people. He has made the town better by bettering it's defense and sharpening it's offense.
He has helped when storms have happened and has always been there for everyones back. I think that he is one of the best people on this isle and this jsut shows it how everyone is saying things about him because he demands taxes or stops evil.
He has protecting against wars. Hell the orcs had to stop the war because of him. He has made it were we could vote and is a noble leader of a knighthood. He is a very very honorable man and i can't stand people spiting on him like that.
Stephen has always been there during attacks like i said above but he has also gotten up off his ass and did something about it instead of sitting there writing a letter and not even signing it.
And the matter about the guards. Revlen is a good man and all the guards are always there but with the departure of the orc Karguk the guard is weaken deeply. That is why i am going to try to become a guard.
It would be a pure shame if Stephen or Revlen drops out. Just please shut your damn mouths or you will find the blunt of my blade or the pierceing touch of my words.

Why pay taxes then? If the guards were truly guards and respected their town they should defend it with no pay, and get a profession like the rest of us.
As for Revlen... I won't go into it.

We could write that intelligently if we there actually were more than one guard, maybe thats why there will be a pay? Use your brain guys.

If people dug up all my anti-government rantings, they could probably blast me, so I will stick to many of them which I hold close, and in a situation, like the one with Bailey and apparently here, where people are too afraid to speak of something, I cannot support that. But in the case with Stephen, I am really sorry you feel that way, because the only reason you should fear letting your voice be heard is if you are a criminal, as many of our unsigned friends probably are.
Personally, I would like to see a little more openness and unity from the people, and from the authorities in situations like these. Certainly some things could be worked out?
I had many doubts also, but so far Stephen has shown no sign at all towards overstepping his boundaries. He has set up a more aggressive justice system (which is a good reason for all our you criminals should leave your names unsigned), he has began to undergo the first major expansion of Trollsbane in a very very long time. So what exactly is the problem here?

oh don't joke now Brer. of your sixty listed citizens most of them are no shows when it comes to politics. more over most of them don't really consider themselves as citizens of trollsbane. they just take on the title out of convience as it is usually the first town most come to and has more tools and tradesmen then any other there's no reason for people to go anywhere else, but that doens't mean they care one way or the other

So athian, when Devrah or Cain decide to take a vacation, they will not count as citizens anymore. Maybe they do not wish to speak because they are busy or gone. Possibly, they are content.
Sounds fine to me.

I see, O Princely One, that you have not been in the region for a very long time. "Governor Rothman" has quite an established history of trying to usurp power that he has no rightful claim to. He has had many brief roles in governmental leadership, very few of which he actually earned legitimately. I think many would agree that he is best suited to managing his little group of knights somewhere far removed from anyplace that matters.

well some of your citizens do take very very very long vacations. show no interest in the town itself and only ever care about it's political structure when something goes wrong, it just amuses me that Trollsbanes boasts the highest percentage of active cictzens and yet a good two thirds of them don't give a rats arse about the town.

One of the main reasons for that is poor governmental structure, I do believe. Most of the citizens do not think very highly of S.R and won't stay resided in a town governed by him.

Don't worry Brer, Athian is just doing his job as a leader of Varshikar to spite the town of Trollsbane as they have done since its creation in the north. He believes that because people have to walk a little further, it means they really care about Varshikar, even though they too have a list full of people who are now missing or gone permanently. But we should take a few points from Athian, because they know all about inactivity.
