But for for constitution we can train parry, and we cant train magic resistance.I dont think any players will have a spell that will kill everyone in a hit,it was an example.Though when mages paralize you and that you can do nothing or poison you or anything and that you cant have any way to defend against it and have to say"i bow to you mighty mage" that will be different. Its easy to say"then dont mess with mages"but if my character is aggressive he wont let himself be insulted and he will fight back,i have not seen any players casting any spells yet,but im saying it now as it will be too late when most peoples become mages.

You are missing the point,
When mages have spells they will be pathetically weak. While they are skilling up you could be getting magic resistance. How ever on the old server with a high skilled warrior we had ways of dealing with mages and they were far from invincible. So really its a non issue, good mages on the old sever i could still stand in there flame and cut them down.
It takes for ever to level up and most people never reach a great skill and those who do, well get a few friends

Mana potions have a cool down all is well

Then you'll have to accept you're going to be beaten in fights against mages.

The "normal" mage, won't easily insult you. Mages are characters of some mystical capability and should show both a bit of behaviour and authority - and the only characters who got runes until now, except for the arch mages, are the only two really "old" mage characters who have attributes that allow them to cast every spell (if they become skilled enough).

Everyone able to cast spells at the moment, has VERY high magical attributes (along with a few years of roleplaying the char that way).
That is, compared to fighting system, as if you would be hit by someone with VERY high strength, dexterity and agility - even if HE has a low skill, YOU got no parry, have low defensive attributes (8 is not really high compared to an attack attribute of 20), and you WILL get a big amount of damage. It's that simple.

By the way, raising magic skills takes an eternity or two ! After two days of normal use, no change in skill can be seen AT ALL...

...Anyhow, complaining again and again may also increase the likelyness of someone lowering all your attributes to 1.

Let me give some of my thoughts to it:
You could have magic resistant armours and items.

Magic is as i understand tought through a slow proces by the archmages, so one willing to learn magic will take pretty long to actualy be able to use magic. So there will be few mages in total i think.

Mages run out of MP and then they wont be able to use magic untill they replenish it. also a weakness.

But in most mmorpgs mages are way to powerfull. I've played one game where this was not the case and the solutions they used are:
-Spells use more mp.
-spells take time to be casted and if you interupt the casting or get inturupted by someone's weapon or so you have to start casting all over again.

If you where to do this a mage could only be strong when there are fighters to block anyone else from atacking him.
Most fights in Illarion lack teamwork and without that a mage hardly stands a chance.

It involves making magic sausages pop up in my hand all of a sudden!

Again people i say i played a warrior on old sever and sure athian was hellishly scary. Unless i had a friend with me, basically mages were not that over powered for the most part. Look how often kaja was slain and the list just goes on and on.
You want to hurt mages, get working on ranged skills make a mage friend or do nothing and wait and see.
This discussion cannot be held until magic is in player’s hands for at least 3 months, simple

While mages can try keeping away from warriors, once a warrior gets close, the mage tends to die pretty fast. Generally low constitution coupled with low agility and defensive skills does that to ya.

You may have not thought about it but im not sure a mage wearing no armor will cast a spell on a character like me and then wait for him to come close and get killed,he will run like hell, get more mana and cast again"not that simple"and very few characters know archery.I think no one even understand what i mean in all that so i say "damn this" and do whatever you want.

Mages tend to have low agility too bud. That makes for low speed. And they won't be able to just keep running around like that casting at you.

One on one a mage might beat a fighter. But two on one, they'll probably get destroyed. Hard to run and cast with two people, isn't it?

Arameh, you are really starting to be annoying, sorry.
And you stand as good as alone there with your opinion. And many of us believe you write nothing of importance and should wait until magic is available to players. Please wait until that day, and don't write further postings which, to be honest, are looking stupid. I am sorry.

Before magic isn't available to players you can make no fitting and correct statement or suggestions, because you have no clue how it really will be.

Saladin Tyrus is no GM, he has no fighting skills, nor is he wearing any strong armor.

Some slashes from a good trained fighter could easily kill him.

His strength is his powerful magic and his quickness.

Still, he's killable as any other normal char.
