Off-topic: SR is fine as long as you don't start buying all those stupid and useless sourcebooks with more and more cyberware and weapons. It destroys the game balance and lets players create chars that can compete with tanks and dragons as start up chars.
Anyway, original question answered, Illarion is recommended for ages 16 and older. It is not forbidden to play below this age, in special if you are emotional stable and show the required maturity.
