5 & Quins equally.. Both catch the eye.. Quins tells more of what illarion is yet 5 leaves it open to mystery

I knew mine wouldn't be in the voting. I made it right after this thread was created, because I didn't agree with the options available. I don't think any of the banners shows what it should. If I was a serious roleplayer looking for a game I wouldn't click on any of the ones offered. You all profess to love the game and to want a bigger player base, a larger community. Where is all that devotion? Where is all the passion for the game? I see none and I have a hard time believing anyone that made a banner had "devotion" or even "attraction" in mine while creating these 'masterpieces'. What the banners that are there say "Someone liked this game enough to make a crappy boring banner that takes up space." I'm not trying to be offend anyone here, but lets be real for a minute. I'm just trying to look at it from the outside. Someone who doesn't play the game wants to be romanced by something eye-catching or it'll be just a banner someone didn't pay attention to on some game site.

I found this one quite attractive, as well as many others. I feel we shouldn't only be trying to recruit "real roleplayers". Infact, I feel some players are not real rpers (including me). We want to broaden our horizons, not condense them.

Quins has testserver pics, and the text goes too fast.

5 has a problem.. the blood... probably because THERE IS NO BLOOD in teh game.. just a small red cross...

Cliu, I think you are a real roleplayer. I think you are very good. And I really liek Quin's banner. 5 would be excellent though if it had a url, and the slogan from 10

Quin... Take this in the context it’s given, what the HELL are you talking about. There are some well worked on entries here that are as you put it 'eye-catching' what makes your entry excell above all others in your set criteria for an Illarion banner?

As for the entries with no URL on them, in all honestly have you EVER written the URL of a banner down and used it? Not many if any I am sure. A good banner will catch you eye in want of you to click it and be taken to its advertised location

Entries with screenshots can easily be updated as new clients/graphics come out so I don’t see a problem there. *Chuckles* as for blood on the sword in banner 5 and none being in the game… there are no wood shavings either! Does that matter? What happened to artistic interpretation?

No much constructive criticism round here just nit picking. None has mentioned that banner 5 has a slight tiny weeny spelling mistake ‘your self’ is one word ‘yourself’ *g*

I would Like number one to view more players
Like a group of players and then the question "want a real RPG?".

the fifth is the best one- at least for me - no combat-related gfx and no ingame-graphics - this could be useful forever, because the ig-gfx could change again.
