Do you think we can make it without a trader like Eliza? She was our only merchant who would give us best prices!!! Now, there is almost no way to complete what you need!

We could send scouts over the ocean to other countrys, to invite a new trader to Illarion, to take Eliza's place. Im sure someone would like that, its a good deal, since i remember how pleased Eliza always looked when i sold her my newest collections.

Eliza being the only merchant on this isle is a little bit exaggerated, isn't it?
The difference is only that she was buying every junk, reselling it cheap on the mainlands.
If you have anything interesting for sale then I'm sure we can make a deal too. I am especially interested in smithed goods. And you will see most merchants will make you way better prizes then Eliza.
Of course we all hope for a soon return of her so business can go on as usual in Troll's Bane.

Salesh walks up to the wall and bursts out laughing. He puts a little note down.

To the Skulls,
I will help you if lorck calls me to help you.

To the Town of trollsbane,
I see that you are busy so here's the deal.... I have had some things takin from me and I have takin a few things that aren't mine. I am willing to trade these things back and make peace if you agree to my terms.... They are fair I assure you. I will send a messanger who will speak with only one person... that means not two or more for you slow people in the town.... the messanger will give my terms and will come back with a reply from you to me. He is perfectly capable of making arangments.

Personally i think orc are always welcome in town, if they do not:

1. Eat halflings
2. Attack citizens
3. Steal stuff
4. Capture people (like Eliza)

I can only speak for me, but i had some nice talks with orcs so far... some cant speak the human language well, but that doesnt mean they are always hostile.

You should start listening to your chief, Bloodskulls, he thinks the right way.
Furthermore we won't let you in town again, you would simply commit another crime and fly out the next day.

A note in large print is added to the wall.

Until further notice I offer to buy items you would normally sell to Eliza.
I have limited funds so I will work on a first come first served basis.
Please understand I have limited amounts of coin, so I would appreciate people bringing bulk quantities of items.
Finally I will not be able to pay as much as Eliza, but I will pay you as much as I can.
I offer this service mainly to our newer crafters. To enable them to gain some much needed funds. I remember how hard it can be to get started.
You can find me either around Trollsbane or in Varshikar.

About sending messangers to other countries beyond the ocean!
I would be gladeful to go there, but I do not think anyone will come, because as long as we have orcs hanging around, no traders will come to the city!

It seems the town is def! Or even they can't read! *chuckles as he writes*
Perhaps Eliza will be gone forever. After all, I heard that if anyone from the town sets food on the orcish territory, then they'll slit her throat from side to side and cut off her tail and roast it!! *shakes his head madly and laughs more*
I suggest the town reply to their demands. Maybe they will lower them! I want to stare at Eliza through the window as I usually do during the day!! *scribbles a fragment of his name and jolts off in to the ally, where you can hear insane laughter and screams*

Elrim...
But if dont come with an idea how to answer their demands, we need merchants to come in our city, or our economy is dead like the monsters I kill!

Making a deal with these beasts will only encourage them to keep on like that. Do you want to see more and more citizens kidnapped every day because they learned that they can get anything from us that way?

I always did like Eliza. It is a shame she has been kidnapped. That is a pretty smart tactic for a bunch of orcs: Crippling an economy, or at least scaring one. It will be interesting to see what happens in the future.

AH! Wake up people! Don't you see that it is over for our new people (who arrive every day)... Without Eliza noone will ever accept to buy their trades, they will never be able to get any money, never be able to buy their first weapon! There will be nothing where to get mony!

I'd say prepare for the
worst. If push comes
to shove we must then
have to rely on a bartering
system. Until such time we
either retaliate or give the
ransom.

The town cripples with the least resistance or obstacle. What an interesting sight to see. I will add it to my studies, maybe even make a seperate chapter. This is a good subject indeed, of the town's weakness.

This is a bad thing!
It shows that our town is weak! Look today we had a troll in town! Many good people parrished trying to kill it! Where were the guards? Where were they looking?

everyone has to get us a merchant and to improve the city's security! Thats all we need...and about free merchants..one of them cant simply crush our economy!

An empowering letter is addressed to all the citizens of Troll's Bane, written elegantly in an elven script. It is clear by the handwritting that the message was hastily written, as though the author was in a fervent mood, but the lettering retains its beautiful luster.

I have to agree with the author "MM" on this one. The town has grown weak. It is not the Troll's Bane I once knew. However, something must be done, otherwise the town will become even weaker. Even MM in his "removed-from-the-situation" words should see that. Even I see that. It is affecting us all, but no one is taking action. Do something, you fools. I have done all that I can in the past. It is time for the weakened town to band together again like it has in the past to thwart this new threat. Band together and retaliate or be forever preyed upon. Violence is not necessarily the only way. We could always pay their frivolous demands. There are plenty of wealthy citizens, or at least there used to be. I am sure they are still around. What we need is a retaliation of any kind, not replacement merchants. Eliza is not just a merchant, she is a citizen who loves this town very much, as we all do. She is not one that is simply replaced, like some possession!

The guards do nothing in town anymore. You have all seen this with your own eyes. Witnesses places messages on the wall about these things. Forget the guard. Forget about people that are trying to "protect" you and protect yourself! You are the only ones who can truly do this!

Now is the time that we must come together, as we have so many times in the past! The town, our beloved home, is collapsing before our eyes and we are just sitting back arguing about a plan of action that may or may not be sufficient. Act or lose everything. To each citizen a weapon in hand and a hope in mind. Act as one entity, the Citizens of Troll's Bane! Do you wish for this threat to continue? No! You do not! Gather all the best warriors in the town, send to other towns for assistance, and let us all band together in a lash out against this defacation upon our town! I have loved this town longer than most who I see in the Town Guard today, and the majority of the citizens as well, but I am certain that those who live within the town's walls also find love of this town. Let us unite and fight so that we may live peacefully in the future!

Your fellow Troll's Banian at heart,
Cain Sebastian Freemont

The message is sealed to the wall by some kind of magical force and a dagger is stuck into the bottom of the parchment.

I can not remind that i wrote that... It seems there is a faker around. Great!

To the others:
Be sure, we tried yesterday with a army of nealy 20 people of citizens of Trolls Bane and Varshikar, to get them free. But the orcs had a very good defence, so we had no chance to capture their cave.

But, be sure. We will try again. Never i was againt a discussion with them - But we all know, that they can not stay for their words.

My own aim, is to get released Marius Eisenhauer - a page of our knightship - and Eliza.

If there is anyone, who get them free, i pay him 50 golden ignots. All other who help us to get them free, who help us to defeat them, they get armor, weapons, potions and training for free - like yesterday.
