Ah I wouldn't be an assasin.. I've tried the bad guy thing.. (I might still be doing it mwhahaha) and it hardly works. People will report you for the stupidest of things. I've been reported for haunting someone as a ghost... that was kinda dum
Anyway, as an assasin, your hunted, and you get killed quite a bit too unless your really strong, in which case you'd have to have powergamed, (which you will probably do anyway), so its really not all that it cracks up to be.
Plus you have the mages who paralyze you and then people kill you so you dont really stand a chance.
Oh, But the orcs are always looking for a good war, so if you can get a large uprising to go to battle, the orcs will greatly appreciat you.
mages who paralayze you? if you trie to assassinate someone who is not alone it is your own fault my friend. The most important thing for an assassine is the brain. he should has one and should use it. same for thieves who want to be successful.
an assassine wouldn't try to kill a target which is 1. not alone, 2. in armor and with weapons and 3. too powerful for him
well, of course i just meant the usual way to walk to him and swing your weapon. if you want to poison someone, than i would give you the advice to go to a gm before you try that. a gm will probably give you (and other players) a quest to collect real dangerous poison. perhaps you will go to a good druid on the isle and ask him for the herbs, or the poison himself. or, if you are a druid on your own, you will make a quest to gather such herbs and incredients.
after that you should speak with the player ooc. if he wants to let his character die forever, or anything else. there are many possibilitys what could happen.
perhaps you are able to poison him but his friends, when he has some, are able to find a cure, or anything else (of course a gm should hold his hand over that, and give them, with ooc informations or a npc the right informations what they have to do).
it is possible, with gm help. yes, i know, it disturbs you that you have to ask gm's for help. But when you want to roleplay something special like an assassine, you HAVE to work together with gm's. But not to give you advantages, but to lead the whole quest around that assassination. to hold his hands over it and to have an eye on it. thats the work of a gm.
of course that is not easy for a gm. he has to find a solution and a way for the roleplay without giving any player a big advantage. okay, when someone wants such poison as an assassine, he gets it, WHEN he is able to solve a quest the gm gives him and/or others. but he should give the player of the character who should die the possibility to make roleplay and quest or anything else too.
at the end, the assassine don't do that roleplay for him, but for others. it is at the end more thrill for others than for him. and the fun should lay mostly on the side of the non-assassine players. if he wants some poison, other players should be involved in the gathering. as druids, or anything else.
everything is posisble, WHEN you play together with players and gm's. yes, as an assassine you HAVE to do work ooc and behind the characters. but just when you can do great rp for everyone with that.
there is no other possibility for an assassine to play his role really good and, well, successfull.
but otherwise i just don't see the point.
