Mage have full right to use two shields, and here's why....
Using two shields in RL do make you block better.
Beening a mage make you become a total loser at fight is not fair for mages.
Beening druid you can make tons of strong heal and just keep on healing yourself while mage have to BUY the heal
EVERYONE can fight just as good. There's no saying that just because you're a certain type of ethnics person, you're weaker or just because you're in a certain career, you're weaker
EVERYONE had their choice to be mage or druid. Some people make two char and can be both
YOU had your rights to stay away from mage and not to pick a fight on em. Unless some mage went mad and start to cast on everyone, there's no point of you picking a fight against em.
YOU had your option to be either mage or druid, except the poor fella who read too much in lib and got a druid book or a magic book...
YOU choose to be the druid that you are, we did not say "YOU THERE, you have to be a druid"
so if you druids have so much to complain, just simply don't play and wait til you can be both. Then you can be mage and we can all have fun... but until then, quit the whineing

KillerX if you do not watch how you speak you are going to have a lot of people on your case. Yes using 2 shields does help BUT using 2 large metal shields? They would interfere with each other and probably interrupt casting since you need to see where your casting at to cast and if your blocking with 2 big shields you cant really see the target that well.

this is still a alpha and all who works on the game have maked a good job and i think in the future there will be a lot work too. And thx for the good game, i like it.

At moment everyone can be killed, if i remember on the past, there was not always possible.

Ever worn a medieval shield ? Even the small ones are quite heavy.
There is a kind of shield, a very small one, that was attached to the lower arm part and left the hand free. A simple small parry shield. With such things, you could still use your arm, and block with the full arm too (Weapon and shielded arm part). But these shields were small and could not cover more than the arm, and not the legs or such.
With two BIG shields, you can build a defense around you, for example against arrows. But in close fight, you're kinda lost with that, because you must quickly move and coordinate TWO shields. If they are large, then they just are in their movement ways. And the atacker just move a bit, and you poor slow turtle (ever quickly turned the mass of one, or even TWO big shields around ? hehehe) are down when he comes to your side or your back.
But since it's not technically possible at the moment to prevent two shield usage, hey why do we discuss that ?

no, it's because people don't seem to understand the term "Magic". As I've said before...

seeing through shields or other objects. (Why else you think we use depot through walls? :) )
when a strong mage works his magic, anything is possible. and we can only hope that he is a white mage rather then a black mage....

Magic isn't some all powerful thing that just happens, We channel mana and the elements by using runes which organize our magic into spells. Sight is needed because WE channel the magic it does not do it for us we direct the flow of magic which we channel.
