Because of fairness to the looser i would say, the winner should let it be.
But i see no urgent reason to do so. The only reason for doing so is an OOC reason. To say "Hey he i let him because i ruin him the fun playing this game". But here the player have to make compromisses, because such position doesn't fit in the role of some charas.

So think about this words: Nobody wants willful destroy the fun of the others. But we play all one game. We have to do what the role of the char would act like.

I as the player know that Nilo ment it good with his casting, he wants to stop that fight. But my char doesn't know that. He really hates magic , and if someone is casting on him so he couldn't move, its for him an attack an he strikes back.

There are people who simply cannot accept that their character has lost. For some reason, they take it as a personal insult. Hell, my character has been beaten up by Halflings. Halflings with shovels. But then again, small child sized creatures with garden implements can really hurt.

Anyway, you people need to accept you character's defeat, and play accordingly.

I don't care, but it is annoying and bad rp to follow a char around and brag. My guy would just sit there and take abuse...Ithink when you kill someone don't interact with them for that day unless it is necessary.

Why is that RP? For some chars it would be bad RP not to do so, because this attitude to brag around killing you fits theyre role.

then brag the next day...

Can you tell me one simple RP reason why? For me sounds that like a problem of the player and not of the char.

becauseI think it is bad to follow someone you JUST KILLED. You don't follow someone you just injured in a war and followe them into an emergency room and laugh at them. We both have different views on it obviously.

If you want him to leave town you will follow him for sure, no matter how injured he is.

Val, if someone gets killed, and then returns again, discussing his punishment and attacking, what are you supposed to do about it ?

I don't mind if they come to kick me out, but if they egg me on to attack, you shouldn't do that.

Okay..
What has the guards got anything to do with this? Your fun friend still AFAIK came back five times after slain. It's not the Guard's fault.

RUN AWAY. There is your solution to not being multi-killed by the all powerful villains of the town guard.

In a typical medievil town, the guards only existed to protect the interests of the king/ruler (aka..taxes). Protecting the citizens came second to that. Guards could kill citizens if they wanted, because anyone that opposed and attacked them was promptly dealt with. An attack upon the king's men was equal to an attack upon the king himself and you were promptly hanged, stabbed, etc. If you did not wish to live under the rule of the guards....LEAVE. Go to Northrot or something where the guards have no power. I see only two problem with the system as it is now. One is that no one knows who all the guards are (except Hagen), so I could run around and say I am a guard and who would say different except actual guards. Second, in order to decrease the dependancy upon Trolls Bane, there should be [NPC] shopkeepers like Eliza in the other cities. That way if people choose to leave Troll's bane, or are banned, they can still get the tools and supplies that they need.

UPDATE: Now that there is a list of gaurds...I can't go around pretending to be one  . Nah..just kidding. All that is left now is shopkeepers

There is no King, and our chars pay no taxes. If one was a citizen of Northerot they'd not be allowed to come near the town gates as you say they should and therefor would interact with practically nobody and would leave the game. Then.. once again I repeat... ppl would leave all the time. he GMs really should worry about this. All their oldest players are leaving and they won't have a game anymore.

Exaggerated. I'm still here.

You confuse Character and Player.
Seperate this strictly, Irania.

Well...I agree with Velin..either throw an npc somewhere else or make eliza poof.

A deletion of the NPC's in the shop could be done, but that would cause newbies to be quite in some disadvantage.

Well...jsut to let you know...it is nearly imporssible for new characters anyway without help from other players, so I would see no problem with it.

Well, before some really extreme is done with the economysystem, I think that Eliza should stay (even though in principle I agree with Arkadia)

My god...Caranthir agreeing with me??
Seriously....Trollsbane will always be just about the only place people want to be for the simple fact that Eliza is there.
Change that and I guarentee people would begin to travel out of the town and reside elsewhere.

Quickfix (without thinking about the possible downsides) would be to have a NPC in all the current towns.

Search in the proposals board...I believe there was a topc there about this.

Hmm, this thread went far did it not

To the people who say you should not return as soon as you have been slain, yes your correct, its an unusual occurance for me to do this, but in these circumstances when i returned i roleplayed an injured character asking hes slayers the reason for thier actions, and then to be slain again for asking these questions is what annoyed me.

If you wish to speak about roleplay, would the noble town guard slay an injured person for speaking, i would hope not..

But enough of this, the only reason i created the thread was because i was angry with the way some people acted, its not upto me or any others how they play their characters, i just wished to let them know my point of view.

Seems as if you did not play injured enough.
Ever tried to "discuss" with a medieval town guard about your punishment ? Hehehe...
Next time, simply avoid returning from the cross, and don't cause more chaos because you're angry at the moment.
