To me your name is kinda bad... It sounds like vulgar. Which is a word so you probably wouldnt get in with that name. Am I right everyone?

Come on people use capitals. I noticed your board names arent in capitals either. People's names always begin with capital letters. Also the word I as in "I thought I was accepted." is always capitalized.
Also the first word of any sentence is always capitalized. Maybe your shift key doesn't work.

Elvaree, before you go telling people to read the rules, improve your language skills, and stop going "Rulz". Use capitals in your name, and don't act like a know it all. as it is quite obvious you have not yet played the game.

Sorry but I'm a bit annoyed - no wait, not a bit - I'm absolutely and totally annoyed. According the name rules I chose the Name Geanois NaTirDun - it's old gaelic and means kinda "Wild cherry of the evergreen oak". Now tell me - WHAT IS WRONG with this name? I read the rules again now and found nothing I broke with this name:

NaTirDun are 3 different words - I only put them together without space because the Rules also say that you are not allowed to use multiple spaces. So please explain what is wrong with my name? Oh and by the way - thanks for NO answer to my Application - neither positive nor negative - very professional...as professional as deleting a name that was built with words from an ancient language. Ich frage mich allerdings was dich geritten hat die Leerzeichen wegzulassen.

Ich denke ein Leerzeichen, um Namensteile oder Zusätze, abzutrennen ist da sicher erlaubt.

Komm auf den Teppich, dass hier ist ein Freizeitprojekt.
Und ich wette, du opferst nicht deine kostbare Zeit wenn es darum geht Leuten, die einfach unfähig sind sich an Namensregeln zu halten, auch noch hinterher zu schreiben.
Nur damit sie dann wieder deine Zeit verschwenden können.

Fühle dich davon nicht unbedingt direkt angesprochen, aber du kannst dir ja mal in Ruhe die Listen der Schlechten und Mittelklasse Namen ansehen.
Du wirst erkennen das das ein Berg an Arbeit ist.

Ok war mir nicht ganz sicher, da der größte Teil des Boards hier in englisch ist - es gibt viele deutsche/europäische RPs wo man in den Boards dann doch lieber die Weltsprache englisch spricht

Eben nicht - das einzige falsche daran war nun mal die Tatsache, daß ich die Leerzeichen nicht gemacht hab; naja ist halt auch nicht ganz so klar in den Regeln wie das jetzt gemeint ist...aber egal.

Tja siehst du, und da hakts - wenn ich nun meinen Namen richtig schreibe - also Geanois Na Tir Dun - könnte man das, da der Name bzw. die gälischen Worte ja nicht so geläufig sind, durchaus als mehrfache Leerzeichensetzung sehen, da der Nachname "Na Tir Dun" im Prinzip ja aus mehreren Teilen besteht. Mir ist es schon einmal passiert, daß mein Name in der richtigen Schreibweise nicht akzeptiert wurde und automatisch auf die "falsche" also "NaTirDun" umgebessert wurde - deswegen habe ich ihn auch gleich so eingereicht .

*lach* Wenn du wüßtest - auch wir (mein Mann und ich) betreiben ein "Freizeitprojekt" - wenn auch auf einem anderen Sektor (ich gehe jetzt aus verständlichen Gründen nicht näher darauf ein ) und auch hier geht genug Zeit und Nerven drauf - auch wegen "blinden" die des lesens oder der deutschen Sprache nicht mächtig sind. Aber du hast recht - mein Tonfall war doch sehr hart; ich möchte mich an dieser Stelle auch dafür entschuldigen aber ich war doch sehr enttäuscht und böse, daß mein Name quasi als "Dreck" hingestellt wurde. Immerhin spiele ich schon seit einigen Jahren verschiedenste RPs (live, online,....) und dieser Name ist einer meiner häufigsten Charakternamen. Trotzdem nochmal ein dickes Sorry.

PS: ARGH nochmal sorry - ich hab in meinem Mailaccount gerade irrtümlich auf den Link geklickt, in dem man seinen Accountantrag vervollständigt ( - ich hoffe nur, daß das nicht allzuviel ausmacht.

Das mit den Mehrfachen-Leerstellen ist etwas anders gemeint, ich nehme mal wieder deinen (alten) Namen als Beispiel.

"Na Tir Dun" - so ist er gut, und sicherlich kannst du dich mit dem nochmal anmelden

"Na_ _Tir Dun" - so hat er mehrfache Leerzeichen, und ist damit "illegal"

Was das nochmal anmelden betrifft - ich weiß nicht so recht, ob das dann nicht wie "sturheit" oder "veräppeln" rüberkommt, wenn ich mich mit dem selben Namen nochmal anmelde. Wärs nicht angebrachter, erst mal hier im Forum auf ne Antwort bzw. ein OK zu warten? Auf jeden Fall mal vielen lieben Dank für deine hilfreichen Antworten - beim nächsten Mal mach ichs besser .

I have been reading this forum, and I just wanted to find out if my char has been deleated for having no vowls. My name is Szzth, and it can be pronounced (Suh-zith). Plz keep me posted.

I assume your Char is a lizard, right? This name sounds perfect for a lizard. You got the questions? Well, that means your name was accepted.
Answer them, then be patient until you recieve further notice.

Well it's my first time here so don't blame me for referring to the whole thread.
Besides, English is not my mother tongue so don't blame my for my bad grammar skills...

Many of you did complain about the name rules. I think that is not acceptable. People like myself are searching the web for REAL Role Playing and if someone does a lot of work sorting out the not RP-like character names he does me a big favor and has the right to set his own rules about that (which are good ones here).
If some of you have been in tibia recently, you can see a bad example for a game where nearly all names and all players are accepted!

Some didn't know the CITY Firenze. For all Germans, its "Florenz" and i think this "town" is big and well-known enough to be excluded from names.

And what's the deal with making up your own name without using existing characters from books/games/...? I made up my name and it was accepted (it sounds elvish in my opinion), by boyfriend made his ork name ("Grimgork Eisenpelz") and if you are trying to play this game, you are expected to have -at least- SOME creativity.
