I like the five senses idea, maybe it's touch or sight?
Btw is it "forth" or "fourth"?

Why thank you, Dyluck.
Maybe a A golden ring? A dart? A Crossbow Bolt?
The thing about dying is the tricky part...
I can put this into simple form...
'1 of 5' = One of Five, maybe Senses, maybe fingers on hand?
'One who sent Fourth' = If it is 4th and not Forth it maybe the 4th sense.
'One who recieved died' = So, the thing can kill or banish another thing.
'Isn't alive' = So, it can't be plants or animals...
I have no idea... I'll kick myself when the answer is given.
Hey, I'll pull a Damien, "A moment?" *G*

Hmm a new riddle... will probably be finished quickly though...
What's better than god,
worse than the devil,
poor people have it,
and rich people want it?
EDIT Adition: It is "Nothing"... as Roke guessed....

@Sabrina
Oh well, no answer is an answer

. Than I will just try it.
David had 5 stones with which he challenged Goliath. With one of the stones Goliath was killed and David became king. So the answer will be: a stone.

Ok this one is tough so think hard. To answer this riddle you most answer it in the most logical way posible.Mainly because that is the answer. Ok here goes.
A king deciced to find the wisest man in his kingdom. So he held a test, and in the end three men were choosen. So since this could not work the king made one last test. So the king gathered the men in one room then blind folded them.(now from this point on imagen yourself as one of the three men any will do)Then he told them "I have placed five hats on the table in front of me. Three red two green. I will place a hat on each of your heads then remove your blind folds the first to tell me what color hat they have on wins the to others will have their heads removed". So the king places a hat on your head then throws the two remaining away. When your blind fold is removed you see the other two men wareing red hats. What color is yours.

Also, in addition to Quain's riddle, a Djinn once said a similar one:
The poor have it
The rich need it
If either was to eat it they would die.
The answer is Nothing.
Now, for Fred,
The hat would most likely be red, since (if you are any one) and the others wear red then you also wear red. It is very simple

And, the king makes you all think you wear a green hat!
So, the answer is RED.
Do I win any gold? :biggrin:

I know that this has been under for a long time, but here's a riddle:
Never resting, never still.
Moving silently from hill to hill.
It does not walk, run or trot,
All is cool where it is not.
What am I?

Well, one of your answers is correct! I dont think that fire, lava, or a phoenix move silently, but the sun does. You win.... being a winner! Congratulations
Here's another:
This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays king, ruins town,
And beats high mountain down.

#me gives up to read all the postings...
well, well, well inhabitants of illarion
since you love riddles... i have got three for you. suppose some hobbit should be able to solve them easily.
1. Always moving, never sleeping, never crawling, always creeping. A soothing tap, a rage of thunder, jagged teeth, pull you under. With my hand, a town is doomed, holder of all land, not always consumed. What am I?
2. At my whim a country crumbles, from its ruin another stumbles, kill each other at my desire, ever-expanding, a new empire. Born to me are kings and queens, sacrilege for religious schemes. Many I ruin, thousands I devour, greater are those that i empower. What am I?
3. Since the beginning, I am the after. But I am merely the revealer of hidden truth, the teller of what is to come. What am I?
have fun with solving those 3
#me walks away. satisfied.
