I have to sort of agree.

You fear boredom.

Well, I know quite a few people who practice persona play, but I refuse to name them. I don't think it's a problem. It only makes the player feel worse for their char.

You always care most for your oldest. You throw others around like toys.
The first char is the baby, the favourite, the one u originally made up and nurtured in your mind. Hard to let this char go, even if he is a complete asshole.

I lost my first character a long time ago, and he was before RP, so I never nurtured him, but you know..... I do kinda miss him. I actually share a sort of bond with all my characters, male/female whatever race. But it's more of the feeling you get when a character in a book is thought about than a real person.

Code: Select all

U knew ooc that I cannot swim. U knew ooc that there is no path from south to north.
I know IG that there is no such a path. You told us you used a boat, but why should i believe you? A former movement and assassine? An old enemy? Someone banned from town? There is no IG reason why i should trust your words. So i didn't believed you and simply thought you walked through town.

And no, ooc i don't know that he cannot swim, or do you mean that it is technical not possible to swim? Do you think i believe you that you swim with full platearmor, doubleaxe, knightgloves and knightboots from one part of the isle to another? And as i said, i didn't believed you that you have a boat and used it. because ig Galim cannot know that you have one. OOC i can because of your background story, but not IG.
U thought ooc that I was going to log off like Elaralith in the middle of a run, and u hurried to kill me.
i saw you before logging of infront of us in the middle of rp with a nice message about dissappearing in a little cloud. but no, because of this i haven't attacked you. i attacked you because you fled. you run away, and so i attacked you to stop you. it is simple, and just IG. Short before that you refused John's offer to lead you through town and have some time in jail, together with irania. You had the possibility to come away without fight, but you decided to run away. Before this you walked many times into the town, we threw you out many times, we don't do that forever. someday it is enough. and as is aid, for us, you didn't used a boat or took a swim.

And the time you ran away, we decided to attack you becaase you tried again to fool us.
Opposite to showing RP courtesy by saying something like "#me throws a rope and gets his foot in a loop" or "#me calls the archers on the town walls, and they take aim"
Noone of us had a robe. Noone of us would be good enough to throw it around your legs. You ran away and didn't let us time for #me's. you don't even #me that you run away, you simply went out of the windows into the woods.

Oh, and you think it would be better rp to say that there are many invisible guards who aim at you?

More then that, knowing that K is a slightly supernatural priest of ronagan, when I made a move spreading the smoke around me, you clearly stated ooc using double brackets ((you're not expecting us to react to that smoke thing, right?))
Is that a joke? you #me that you wrap your cloak around you, that black sand flew around you and that you got invisible. INVISIBLE. You want us to believe that you got invisible? Hey, i am priest of Irmorom, i could roleplay too that i let an anvil drop from the heaven on your head. haha

Between RP and giving yourself super powers is a difference. To say that you can make you invisible and want us to roleplay that is impudent. even as a priest you cannot do that. Just because you are a priest don't mean that your god really holds his hand over you and give you extra power. sure, galim says that too, but he believes that ig. He get no super power, except his magic, and a little bit rp when i let my hand glow while healing or the head of my hammer while blessing.
hat creativity do you leave me other then run or attack?
We let you the possibility to go to jail or to fight. You chosed fight with your running away. you had the choice.
Exactly. It's just shades of skill and red blinking crosses for you guys. All that matters. To hit ctrl, or alt... and attack.
It's sad.
Funny, wasn't it you who got some skills deleted because of powergaming?

I don't attack with galim often, and i don't like it to kill other characters. But sometimes it is needed. you fooled us many times with coming into town again and again, we don't paly this game forever ig with you. one day it is enough and you will get a punishment for that. IG i mean. i don't know you ooc, and have no grudges against you, and you don't interest me ooc. everything is just ig. perhaps an other character of me is a good friend with you, you can never know.

Wow thanks, I actually understood your point of view a lot better now.
Seriously, thanks.

Well, surely got my punishment now.

Believable.

This is completely wrong, as Fooser has proved.

Or is the char "Bishop" Galim that stupid that he can't even think of someone swim?

This game is all about creativity and using your imagination. Well at least that is what I assumed. Correct, persona play is wrong but it cannot be avoided as it is hard to tell who does it. Unless I am missing something and many people do while only I am missing it. There really is no need to argue about something that cannot be stopped.

He is a dwarf, answer enough? He don't want to think about "swimming". And Karmane weared full armor and weapons. Shall i really believe that someone can swim with THAT?

Fooser, what did you wear the day you said you swum around? i am sure you weared armor and weapons. Karmane did that too.

No, for Galim, the dwarf, swimming is no possibility to come to the other side of isle

And he would never trust someone in armor and with weapons that he swum to that palce!

Galim, Galim.
My char didn't swim like right out of the water when John met him. Almost a day passed. He undressed, got into a little boat, used a spear for an oar to keep himself close to the shore, rode to the other side, then found a depot there, and dressed himself in armor prepared for encounter with the town guard. He didn't travel with that armor on.

He could have been carrying anvils that Galim sent from the sky  They breathe underwater.

Yes. He is a dwarf, but as it seems you take this as an excuse for everything.

He kills people fast and is super intelligent? Sure, he is a dwarf.

He is a master merchant and can make everything? Sure, he is a dwarf.

He is has good magical skills and knows of aggressive magic? Sure, he is a dwarf (and of course a priest, and a healer, and a ghosthunter, and a mage and... whatever)

But when the best played "thief/assasin" char i've ever seen disappears, that's BAD Rp! Of course! GM's, please ban...

At first, i saw that as bad rp, but now i realised, there is NO other chance to play the char against people like you. If you try to, you get killed.

But that dwarf Galim.. Oh, he is almighty, he is a dwarf.

You mean a depot in town, Konstantin? Oh, so he HAVE entered the town <_<

A day passed? We saw you the same day, just a few time before that, at the southgate. A DAY passed??

And as i said, Galim didn't believe you that you had a boat and used this.

By the way, for me path means a way at land, and not at sea. excuse my bad english.

Galim wrote:And as i said, Galim didn't believe you that you had a boat and used this.
That's what we are speaking about here. Your char does not believe it, because you (the player) does not believe it.

That's what is called personal play, because your char acts like you would do.

I never said that Galim is super intelligent.

Since i play Galim i killed perhaps 4 or 5 characters. How many have you killed??

Yes, he is a merchant, but he can just smith and goldsmith. he have no clue of anything other craftmenship. The other stuff i sell i have bought.

No, he have bad magical skills. Yes, he know agressive spells. Yes, he is a priest, because of that he have magical skills and can heal and can speak prayers and blessings against ghosts. i think that is logical. He is no mage, he have no knowledge about magery. I play him as a priest, not my problem that there is no priestmagic yet. He just knews firespells, because Irmorom gave the dwarves the fire of Bragon to form the world and to use it.
And as i said, i paly him as a priest. He knows nothing about magery, and i refuse to be a mage, often i have to tell others that he is priest, not mage.

It is bad rp because he simply said that he is able to be invisible. i just use what the game allows me to use. and i don't make #me and "force" the others to believe that i can do anything powerful like being invisible or dissapearing in a cloud.

Galim is weak. He is a weak fighter, he is weak in his magic. every idiot could kill him. And after i said this everyone will do it :P

No, Galim haven't believed him. Me as a palyer have no opinion about that. when he want to use a boat, oaky, but he cannot await that my character believe him just because he said he have used a boat. If i would accept ig that he used one because i know ooc he have, than it would be bad rp.

Just drop it with the stupid swimming. If you wore full plate mail or even chain, you would sink. Or hardly have the stamina to make it very far. Lizard or not.
You mean a depot in town, Konstantin? Oh, so he HAVE entered the town <_<
There is no Movement depot. Or even a depot in the northwestern side. I think I'm thinking like Galim now.
Galim is weak. He is a weak fighter, he is weak in his magic. every idiot could kill him. And after i said this everyone will do it
Galim has friends though. Making him powerful. Which I think is brilliant.

Very funny Fooser, stay serious please. I never said that it is impossible to swim. just that it is imposisble ina rmor and with weapons. and that galim don't have to believe someone when he said he swum. Thats a difference

Stupid? Swimming is a major part of lizard behavior. If you think it's stupid then, you know nothing of racial behavior or roleplaying.

So is stealing for halflings, but it isn't implemented. Half of the time people won't cooperate with theft. Do you see the halfling players complaining? No.

Beg to differ, Kasume? No. He is a creative player and the way he exits the game is interesting. Sometimes it's a good idea to log out at cruical times because there is nothing else that can be accomplished that day.

He is using his imagination and that is what RPing is about.

Suddenly disapearing because of black smoke when gaurds have you handled with their hands clutched to your arms pushing you to the southern gate. That's creative? Forced RP in my opinion. At least start an uproar of fighting instead of just logging out. Or attempt to run away when getting a chance.
It's the entire fact that he's "supernatural" in his owns personal ways. It's ridiculous in my opinion. Especially when he doesn't even have a group of players even supporting this. Unless I don't know something. Which I doubt in this case.

Bottom line is, there was much left to be accomplished.

Also, might I mention K. Wasn't it you who just, suddenly ran up to me and began attacking? Not even saying a word or using "#me's" before attacking? I find that quite ridiculous as well. And then you complain about poor RP when you attempt getting out of every single which sense of case.

I fail to see what there is to defend Irania.

Edit: Oh but I am glad that he understands now. :?

Galim/who ever else was there RP = Forced,

THey didn't give him a chance to escape...from what I hear..

K RP = Forced

He forced it so he was "invisible"...

Now, this is just how I see it.

Since this is totally off topic anyway, seeing as how we're supposed to be discussing Persona play, I would like to say that I love the fact that Kasume is complaining about someone logging out. I've seen him run and log many many times. Pot and the kettle I guess. And just so you know, I'll complain about theives! No one wants to go along with it anymore!

Excuse me? I'll admit about 2 - 3 times. That's not many.
