If I did I never saw it....and I cant find it in my log anywhere...when I was jailed it said I had five minutes...then he talked to me and I rp'd throwing a rock at him, then it said I was jailed for 15 minutes....then he started yelling at me about starting a war with me, then he left....but I have sat in jail for about 30 minutes....so i have no clue how long I really have

ok...once again...how the hell was I suppose to know it was a gm jailing...good job identifying yourself....second...heres the log
Now, I did however mess with a gm's character and I know that should be kept to an absolute minimum, but I was unaware, therefor should not be punished. I think My character should be released.
Okay...everyone read that...To me it sounded like some jerk from lyrenzia throwing power around....How stupid do think I am to harrass a gm like that? seriously! If I knew that was ooc I wouldnt have done that, so Im getting punished for this GM's failure to identify that this was OOC? Also, I cast a flame on him....A single flame....which my character has a thing with her flames as many many many can verify....and I did not kill him, not even attempted to kill, and therefor broke no rules....so perhaps Im getting completely wrongfully jailed. hmmmmmmmmmmm..maybe.....or can no one ever seem to admit mistakes around here?(21197): why? Arkadia Misella squeeks. Someone (21197): for no reason? Arkadia Misella: Arien Edhel jailed you for 5 minutes Arkadia Misella barks. Someone (21197): give me a reason! Arkadia Misella pokes the Elf in the eye. Yeah, I think I'm gonna head to town Someone (46854): ack Someone (47141) forms silent words with the lips. Someone (46854): i hate being so weak now Arkadia Misella: ((Okay...powergaming much over there?)) Someone (47141) forms silent words with the lips. #me forms silent words with the lips ((not really)) Arkadia Misella stares. ((hmm)) Someone (21197): you know the rules! Arkadia Misella shakes her head. Someone (47747): hm..someones in jail Someone (21197): follow them or you will stay the rest of your life in here! Arkadia Misella spits at the Elf. Someone (47141) (s): who are you? Someone (21197): you want war? Someone (47141): no war Arkadia Misella sticks her tongue out. Someone (21197): dont forget, im NOT playing! Arkadia Misella throws a rock at the Elf. Arkadia Misella: Arien Edhel jailed you for 15 minutes Someone (21197): have a nice time Arkadia Misella throws another rock. Arkadia Misella barks

Ending a sentence with a question-mark makes a question out of it, doesn't it?Arkadia Misella wrote: Someone (21197): you want war?
That was a warning.Arkadia Misella wrote: Someone (21197): dont forget, im NOT playing!
And tell me, how many chars are able to walk through walls?
If you can't perceive this signs, next time a have to reprove I will lift up my forefinger and say *Be careful, this is ooc and I'm not playing. I'm a GM*

Hehe, that bout says it all dont it?
I suggest you think more carefully about the words you pick to communicate next time because "follow them or you will stay the rest of your life in here!" and "you want war?" certainly sounds more like IC talk than OOC talk to most normal people. I doubt our players expect to go to penitentiary over a game or launch weapons of mass destruction to someone halfway around the world.
And I think we've heard enough spam about Jack Kevorkian and President Bush.

Who do you think you are to give such advice to Arien? I suggest next time a GM gets in trouble with a player the GM should talk and give orders in his mothertongue and don't give a damn whether his opposite understands.Dyluck wrote:I suggest you think more carefully about the words you pick to communicate next time
We can talk very clear and well balanced, in good grammar too - or try to be as far as possible understandable to your people. But be careful to take advantage from that, neither ingame nor ooc.

Oh, so now the GMs are too mighty to take some tips about english words from a lowly player like me?Falk vom Wald wrote:Who do you think you are to give such advice to Arien?
What problem do you have with me giving advice on how to better communicate with english words? I think just the mere fact that you are offended by this shows that the advice was indeed well needed.

There was no single advice from you about an english word, there was only an dumb universal insignificant advice about communication in general.Dyluck wrote: Oh, so now the GMs are too mighty to take some tips about english words from a lowly player like me?

Arien already posted, that she might have made a mistake, no need to put a needle in there again.
By the way: "willst du Krieg?" [wanna war?] is nothing else than a "do you want to get in trouble with me?", but it is a german slang that maybe can not be translated into English word by word.
And yet knowing this, you claim I imparted no advice about the english language when I say to "think more carefully about the words you pick...because it sounds IC instead of OOC"? Am I not clearly talking about english words or is this more difficult than identifying who are GMs?Falk vom Wald wrote: By the way: "willst du Krieg?" If you think I had no advice to any language differences, I wonder why your first angry response refers to all facts about the competency of GMs in different languages.
If suggesting thinking about what sounds ic versus ooc is only a "dumb universal insignificant advice about communication in general" then I wonder why this communication confusion occured at all.
I don't intend to put a needle through anyone, but only point out a part of the mistake that was not yet identified and could be improved upon. Don't blame me if you failed to properly interpret the tone and meaning of my posts and then get offended. Hmph!

Know what that means? It Means, if your banned or jailed or what have you, stop complaining about it and deal with it. Your ONLY going to get in MORE trouble. The server is privately owned by us, so we reserve the right to ban people. If we have dismissed a claim that a penalty or ban was too rough, there is no need of continuously notifying us of your opinion. Our decision is final, and bugging us about it can only get you into trouble.
Some players have characters with Game master (GM) status. Their task is to keep order within the game. They can punish misbehavior in a number of unpleasant ways, or notify administrators for some even more unpleasant punishment. These special characters should not be disturbed when busy, with the possible exception of very urgent cases. Lying to gamemasters, and exploiting bugs constitute serious offences, and will be dealt with harshly. The Game masters' privacy is respected. Their other characters will not be named unless specifically requested by the GM him/herself.
Which means, the GM's will do what it takes to keep order.

Falk makes the point here, you should be OVERLY GLAD that the GM's even TRY to speak english for the english players, they dont even HAVE to, they are being kind in this, do you know how long it takes to learn english? Its just as alien to them as German is to you!
