Helping to hush the rumblings of the mob

Post by Arkadia Misella »

Now, I surely hope you do not think this is an "unnecessary" thing to work on, for I actually feel it may help the game a bit. Now, with everyone either complaining to you GM's and such about how it is either "boring" and nothing ever happens, or when you throw a quest out everyone else complains it is too long, too annoying, or gripe about anything they can. So, I thought maybe perhaps I had an idea to keep them more interested in the game than interested to complain.
I would say about every 7-10 days ((if this is even capable since I do not know a thing about programming)) just throw a new item in the game. It wouldnt have to be something amazing, something rich or anything like the sort. Just something new. A new fruit, a new color shield, new potion, turltes you can catch. Just something for entertainment and variety. One thing I always felt was lacking in many games, and even in this one, is even though RP and realism is desired, the lack of common items is just annoying. In real life if I had to only eat what was in Illarion, well, I would get pretty pissy. I feel that not only would this add to realism, help inspire RP some, but it would also may help keep those entertained whose only fun thing to do now-a-days is to complain about everything that happens. Hope ya'all consider it. 8)

Well, there is a graphic forum and I betcha alot of people here would not only like to help making the graphics, but would get a smile on their face if one was used by them. and even if martin hates my idea, and yells at me, I still love him cause he makes me smile. :P

of course many people would make some graphiks, but martin is fussy ;) (okay, some grafiks in the game aren't good examples for his fussyness. just like the horseheads which i have identify as horseheads after i have used my mouse on them *fg*).

but 7-10 days would be too short. every month would be better.

Hmm, new items that are not yet in the game require (as far as I know) a new client and I doubt you want to download and install a new client every week. There are some items implemented only a few or no characters have, but you won´t find them lying around somewhere. I think in the new client (if there will be any *g*) there will be new items, let´s all sit down and wait...

Simple stuff like that and martins experience he could make them peice of cake. I'm not being sarcastic. Just make patches to the client, like 100kb wouldn't be too tough to download every week.

Do you REALY want our server to look up your computer, check if the software on it is up to date and update it, if it thinks it is not??
Micrsosoft is doing such things, if you let them....

Anyway this is worked upon, i mean a few new items, that might appear.
You might have noticed that some things work different than before.
And a few new things might be found - maybe difficultly, maybe easy.
