You can't knock someone unconcious at this point in time. You can't steal items at this point in time.

Well, you can steal items when people trade, but be ready to die fast.

The only way to steal something is to pick something up that someone else lies on the ground.

A lot of the stuff on the website are still in the works.
Remember, the game is not complete. We are just testing it.

There is ofcourse the way of 'Robbing' by roleplaying.
This is however not any safer way of doing things than the pick-up-the-items-and-run, but perhaps more pleasant for both sides, if succesful.

From which goes out another question: How can a thief be trusted?

I am talking about the player, not the char. Of course nobody would trust a known thief, but that doesn't mean the player playing him cannot be trusted too.

are the theif gloves even in existance yet?... If you want to theif do it by role play or when YOUR tradeing, (ex. ask to buy a sword then make a deal when he hands you the sword run off) dont just run up when someone sets something on the ground...because during a Trade you dont set it on the ground you hand it to someone (actually you do set it on the ground but thats because you cant hand it to someone ...yet)

A halfing called me over and as I asked what what he wanted he wrote "#me sticks his hand in the elfs pocket". Granted he didnt actually get anything but I thought it was kinda cool and much better rp than many of the other thieves. Kudos to him! If I had known he was going to do it I would have acutally given him some gold or something else that was in my pocket at the time! too bad he ran off.

I met the same halfing I guess, he's pretty cool, it's always fun when he's around, he stole some coins from me once. but I got them back somehow. he's a pretty good player and I think it's fun when he changes his capes and name. Too bad that some player don't think about rp when someone stole something and just say "Give it back!" Even if he changed and everybody "sees" that it is not him again. Well anyways, it's fun to have him around.
And ya there are gloves but only a few got them. How someone said only trusted people get them, and that's a good thing

I just don't get the part about ingame theifing, when you are so easily caught and punished. Why do people try to steal? :?

You have to rely on the RP of the people you steal from. Sometimes it works, sometmes it doesn't. I have been guilty of a bad-RP reaction to being robbed. It caught me offguard but hopefully next time I will have learnt from my mistakes and react in a better way. So both side have to be responsible and follow the RP.

Yeah, when I was robbed, my character was drunk and didn't actually have any items at the time, so I couldn't give him anything.
