I just wonder about the "Avatar Gallery" where you can pick Avatars from Illarion in the "user profile". The name of the picture of the ogre is "Troll"

Fix that please

Nartak es gibt eigentlich keine Oger die Monster mit dem Pferdeschwanz wurden nur fälschlicherweise Oger gennant und sind eigentlich Trolle..hmm ich glaub du schaust mal auf ishans seite da stehts glaub ich oder bei moonsilver ich bin mir nicht mehr gans sicher.
Vielleicht heißt es auch Troll's Bane und nicht Oger's Bane.

The name from the town had the name from Udan Trollbane.
Udan was the king of the dwarfs.
Well after a voting the most was for Trolls bane cuze its better for the ear.

As far as i know the picture of the trolls should be ogres.

A lot of people in the town have always referred to them as troll and ogre interchangably. The same goes with mummy and zombie for the greyish humanoids in the ruins north of town.

However I'm under the impression that ogres were usually green.
I also thought that a mummy would imply rather strange egyptian influences on a european medieval setting.

"Mummy" refers to any conserved body, not only the remains of Egypt nobles. A lot of cultures mumified their death people, and mumification can also happen naturally, i.e. in swamps.

@McFly:
Actually the name Troll's Bane does in fact refer to the monster, not Udan (every troll who foolishly enters the town would know why

). It was one of many name suggestions Damien made (most of them were, uhm, rather strange

) during the election. The writing "Troll's Bane" was introduced because it sounds and looks better, and to distinguish it from Udan Trollbane.

Nun ja, soweit ich weiß, sind Trolle riesige schwarze oder braune, beharrte, Kreaturen, die dir zum Spaß einen Amr ausreißen können.
Oger können das auch, doch sind sie nicht beharrt und auch nicht schwarz oder braun.

ich glaube über das ausehen von trollen kann man bücher schreiben...
die beschreibung müsste etwa so lauten:

grösse: klein bis riesig
behaarung: keine bis dicht behaart
hautfarbe: grün, grau, schwarz, blau oder auch weiss (von roten hab ich noch nichts gehört

)
gesinnung: friedlich bis boshaft

ich glaube kein wesen hat so viele verschiedene beschreibungen wie ein troll...
