Something wrong with skills...

This has been giving me quite a frustration...

I remember that my combat skills in slashing and concussion were very high, and I WAS known as one of the best combatants on the island...

I requested to Shi'voc a very long time ago that he restored my items after they disappeared during the server fix. Back then, my combat skills weren't, shall we say, up to snuff?

So after my skills were high, he finally restored the items (only about half of them came back I believe) and I find my combat skills dramatically reduced (and items I had AFTERwards disappeared...).

I've been training to regain my former skill for many, many days now. I always trained with my partners using a rusty dagger, and they all claimed to have improved at an excellent rate...however, I've trained for a total of around ten hours, and compared my skills from a week ago to what they are now using a paint program.

Guess what? NOT A BLOODY CHANGE IN MY SKILLS AT ALL.

Now I know the skill raising rate on this game is slow, but it's odd that everybody improved and I remained the same after all these hours of training...

This is very frustrating, and I firmly believe that my skills froze after some of my characters items were restored. I understand the programmers in this game work very hard and have much to do, but I believe it's a major problem when my skills can't improve anymore.

I also tried training with a mage in magic resistance, still no change...

i am having the same problem with skills.i hope that it IS jsut becuase of the skill system, but DANG! a few thousand iron and coal and i get NOTHING for my smithing skill it seems!(im a second level from master, i thought i would ge master fast since i had it and died, but i was WRONG!)
