Ruaari: Criminal Charges

Post by Avaroth Teladon »

The Rangers hereby invoke sections two and five of the Third regulation in order to bring about criminal charges against citizen Ruaari for the following violations:
Article #1: Every person has the constitutional right to live a peaceful life in accordance to his will.
Article #5: Every citizen is obligated to further the pursuit of knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
Article #6: Every person is to respect the gods, both the Five and the honourable Eleven. Demons and The Unspoken One are to be shunned and resisted.
Article #9: All citizens should show respect at all times. Those who are initiates should defer to the wisdom of their leaders. Leaders should guide our initiates.
It's impossible at this point to declare how many infractions Ruaari has allegedly committed. Furthermore, whilst most of these infractions have taken place outside of the national territory, outside of Ranger jurisdiction, Ruaari is also an alleged cultist and this brings immense concern to national security. The accused is said to have participated in acts of violence and murder upon innocent civilians of neighboring realms and our own alike, in the name and service of demons, their servants and or the Uncalled. Heinous acts of the most severe proportions.

A two out of three majority of probationary Councillors have been informed of these charges and we await to have an agreement on how to proceed with a public trial. Witnesses, as well as the accused, are implored to step forward. It is now in the hands of the probationary council to lead the process, in the pursuit of justice.

If found guilty, especially in violation of Article #6, the Rangers recommend that the probationary council consider the most severe punishment, in accordance to the suggestion of the Third regulation, section 4F.
...Brágons Judgement, also known as incineration is only possible in severe cases of heresy, a violation of the sixth article of the constitution.
Should Ruaari fail to show herself and answer to these allegations, the Rangers implore the probationary councillors to utilize their collective wisdom and both banish and revoke her citizenship. Not only does the silence of an alleged criminal speak volumes but the safety and diplomatic standing of Runewick may well rely upon justice being sought.

Two members of the Rangers have spoken to the accused and she denies all wrongdoing. Our understanding is that citizen Ruaari plans to dispute these charges. The accused has also agreed to appear at trial, in order to do so.

In a separate yet linked accusation, citizen Ruaari claims that the countess of Cadomyr assaulted her in an unprovoked attack. Investigations are ongoing.
