The divine Godless

Post by nathi »

She neither knew where she was nor if she really was. All she perceived was light, and these voiceless words she received in her thoughts.
These words were neither harsh nor affectionate, but they made her understand that her worldview of the gods was not shared.
As a descendant of the Aryon'athar, her opinion of the Gods was based on the logical view that the sacred ancestors worshipped by the young races as new Gods were not to be considered Gods, because they were created by the Five only after the appearance of the elves in the form of the young races. Her attitude towards these holy ancestors could be seen more as toleration than acceptance. Her attitude towards the Five was accordingly critical. Hardly any of the mortals will have noticed that she never spoke out for one of the holy ancestors, nor that in recent years she mentioned one of the Five as a greeting. This was not hidden from the Gods themselves...

The Night

Post by nathi »

She felt neither time nor space, in the infinite invisibility before her she saw the images of her thoughts. She saw the forgotten but still familiar glances of her parents, and the close people from her young years, which have shaped her. Her gaze floated away from a sea of trees, the great shadow forest in which she spent the longest time of her life. She noticed a tree with various fruits hanging from it, above which a sky reflected in hundreds of colours. Grey fog was rising, which was finally followed by darkness, accompanied by the words:
"The shadow of your life lies in this night. In it does not yet lie silence... the nightingale fills it with its songs. Her voice is reflected the colours of the dawn. This night is not the end ... carry your voice into the light."

The Light

Post by nathi »

“You stand before us at the threshold, the threshold between life and death. We have made the following decision for you.
Leaving the path on which you once walked led you into darkness. Do not see this night of the senses as a reminder, but as a brocken mirror for the pride that once led you from the path of light. With the dawn, this pride shall give way and dissolve into the light of the sun. A part of you will die, the achievements of the path since you left it. Within you lives on what you are and what you know, Eldan never lets forgiven knowledge be lost. Keep this gift and walk the path we have chosen for you. Every dawn shall remind you of this belief. Trust in the light we give you.”

She did not feel her body, but like cold gave way to a pleasant warmth.
The twilight became a radiant light that finally outshone any perception.
She heard a melody and fell in with her singing. ((mood: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoDq7P5dveo))
The warmth of the light faded and she opened her eyes. After a short orientation she found herself in a familiar place, standing in front of the altar of Findari.
